Assalamuaikum and a very good morning to the honourable judges,

teachers and my beloved friends. My name is Nurul Ain Syafiah bt Nordin.
Today, I will tell you a story entitled The cat in pain.
It was a pleasant day for the fishmongers. They had so many varieties of
fish to sell. A greedy fat cat came from somewhere and flicked off some fish.
Wow, delicious! she mewed.
I wont share my food with anyone, thought the cat, as she sat in the
corner, gobbling the fish. Then she stole away some more fish. But this time,
two dogs snatched away the fish from her.
The cat becomes sad. She instantly sneaked into another shop and stole
away some more fish. After sometime, there came a thin and hungry cat. She
begged for some food from the greedy cat.
The greedy cat refuses to give any fish to the hungry cat.Lay off! she
yelled at the hungry cat. Please, oh good cat! mewed the hungry cat, My
kittens are hungry at home. Give me some fish!
But the greedy cat was merciless. She shouted out, Leave, at once! Or
shall I chase away? Please help me! the hungry cat pleaded again, Perhaps
someday, I shall return your favour!
Haha! Get away from here! laughed the greedy cat. The hungry cat sadly
left the place. The greedy cat again began to gobble the fish. Suddenly, she felt
giddy and began to vomit.
Actually, the fishmonger had smeared mild poison on the fish, to teach a
lesson to the greedy cat. The greedy cat was in real pain. Aah! Ohh! Someone
please help! she mewed in a low voice.
The hungry cat, who was sitting just a few steps away, heard the greedy
cats cries and went there. What happened? asked the thin cat. I am feeling a
terrible pain in my belly, replied the greedy cat.
Dont worry, said the thin cat, Just lie down and take deep breaths.
You will be all right. Then she brought some water in a mug. Sip it slowly, she
said, giving the mug to the fat cat.
After having water, the greedy cat felt better. Ah! I am relieved, she
said, with a smile. I am glad you are safe! said the thin cat. How kind and
caring you are! said the greedy cat.
Then the fat cat apologized for being unkind. Forget it, said the thin
cat, Now we are friends! From that day, both became very good friends. And
the greedy cat was never greedy again.
Moral of the story, dont be greedy. You will need others help one day.
