Friendliest is not a word we throw around
lightly. Every year, you read that the annual
NGH Convention, is the oldest, largest, and
friendliest convention in the world for profes-
sional consulting hypnotists.
Friendly is a fact. We could also add that the
annual NGH Convention is one of the most fun,
most joyful, and most jubilant conventions (in
any profession) you will probably ever attend.
...And we wouldnt have it any other way.
Why do we think friendly is such an important
quality for our event?
Very simply, without warmth, caring, grace,
compassion, and the bonds of friendliness,
everything we do would be far less effective.
Friendliness opens doors, opens minds, and
opens hearts. It inspires presenters to deliver
more impactful messages and encourages
attendees to fully receive and respond to the
wealth of information being shared.
Friendliness seems to come naturally to the
NGH Staff and to the thousands of convention
attendees and Guild members who make the
National Guild of Hypnotists the vibrant organi-
zation it is today.
If you think POSITIVE, sounds becomes
music, movement becomes dance,
smile becomes meditation, and life
becomes celebration.

When you attend the 2014 NGH Convention and
Educational Conference you will know you have
found your place your people your tribe. For
three wonderful days, you wont have to try to fit
in, because you already do.
For three amazing days you will be enlightened,
informed, and inspired. You will glow from the
events vitality and you will carry your glow home
with you, shining its light on all who come in con-
tact with you. You will look in your mirror and see
the change and you will love the enthusiasm that
you see in your reflection.
In an article published online by Entrepreneur
Magazine, (June 10, 2014) written by contributing
author Laura Schaefer, she explains, Before I
started my first business, Planet Explorers Pub-
lishing, I didnt understand exactly how hard
entrepreneurs work each day or how much worry
they often shoulder.
Running a business has lots of ups and downs;
so its important to have a robust set of strategies
to keep an even keel.
Schaefer goes on to list eighteen tips from small
business owners related to the work-life balance
and the importance of happy, friendly, joyful oases
in life.
Item 6 on her list is:
Schedule activities that bring you joy.
To remain happy as a small business owner, I
schedule things that make me happy just as I
would a meeting with my sales team or marketing

ments. Happy people make happy customers
which drives happy suppliers at the end of the
day. Happier people demonstrate more discretion-
nal effort, they put more of their heart into tasks,
and get into the zone more often. The circle of
happiness is a self-fulfilling prophecy: happy
people attract happy people.
Its time to ramp up your happiness. The 2014
NGH Convention is just days away. We cant wait
to see you there. Come, learn, grow, share, explore,
recharge, and have a tremendous amount of genu-
inely friendly fun.
