1.1 Introduction
INTRODUCTION
Website for Karam electronic Ltd was developed and host in the year 2013, this
website its ecommerce. And the company that is Karam electronic Ltd was
established in the year 1
st
Jan 1989 and located at No: 20 along emir road, Jigawa
State, maigatari Local government of Nigeria. Its owned by Umar Mohd Sani.
The Karam electronic Ltd is one of the biggest and best among its kind in the
state. It has several departments and units which include Administrative, Account,
Technical, and Sales Department. In the year 2013, research is conducted on the
activities of the Organization due to current new product, Internet services in the
town which signifies rapid increase in population as well as demand of its services
within and outside the country. But, due to some difficulties that are currently
hampering its performance, half majority of the populace does not enjoy full
services of the company.
The following recommendations are endorse in order to acquire necessary stability.
An easier and economical method of advertising its services and accessories.
A precise way of register with the company online as a member so that
supply to your door.
A precise way of knowing the exact location of the company.
Finally the company advertises their product based on local Media, such as
radio stations sign board and also moving their goods by cars to markets
within Nigeria only. The goods advertisement is limited to three times a

week. And they are expensive not reliable and they are control by
government.

Problems are some time faced in reaching some areas, such as poor transportation
facilities and good roads

1.2 Aims and Objectives
AIMS OF THE PROJECT

To overcome Geographical Limitation if you have a physical store, you are
limited by the geographical area that you can service. With an ecommerce
website, the whole world is your playground. Advent of ecommerce on
mobile devices has dissolved every remaining limitation of geography.
To locate the product quicker on an ecommerce website, customers can click
through intuitive navigation or use a search box to immediately narrow
down their product search some website remember customer preference and
shopping lists to facilitate repeat purchase.
To attract new customers and replace or supplement existing ways of
reaching new and existing customers on the internet.
To use the web site to improve communication and collaboration between all
parties in the companies supply chain

1.6 Limitation
It cannot do the cart systems, the cart systems is software that allows online
shopping customers to accumulate a list of items for purchase, described
metaphorically as placing items in the shopping cart or adding to cart. Upon
checkout, the software typically calculates a total for the order, including shipping
and handling (i.e. postage and packing) charges and the associated taxes, as
applicable. And you cannot communicate with the administration online, you
cannot register online and you cannot receive your booking code on time when you
have submitted your booking form

1.7 Methodology
The Systems development life cycle (SDLC) is a process used by a systems analyst
to develop an information system, training, and user (stakeholder) ownership. The

SDLC aims to produce a high quality system that meets or exceeds customer
expectations, reaches completion within time and cost estimates, works effectively
and efficiently in the current and planned Information Technology infrastructure,
and is inexpensive to maintain and cost-effective to enhance.
The oldest of these, and the best known, is the waterfall: a sequence of stages in
which the output of each stage becomes the input for the next. These stages can be
characterized and divided up in different ways, including the following:

System analysis: The goal of system analysis is to determine where the problem is
in an attempt to fix the system, this step involves breaking down the system in
different pieces to analyze the situation, analyzing project goals, breaking down
what needs to be created and attempting to engage users so that definite
requirements can be defined.

System design: The design functions and operations are described in detail,
including screen layouts, business rules, process diagrams and other
documentation. The output of this stage will describe the new system as a
collection of modules or subsystems, the design stage takes as its initial input the
requirements identified in the approved requirements document. For each
requirement, a set of one or more design elements will be produced as a result of
interviews, workshops, and/or prototype efforts.

System testing: The code is tested at various levels in software testing. Unit,
system and user acceptance testing are often performed, this is a grey area as many
different opinions exist as to what the stages of testing are and how much, if any
iteration occurs. Iteration is not generally part of the waterfall model, but usually
some occur at this stage. In the testing the whole system is test one by one
Implementation: The proper implementation of the system is required to meet the
organizations requirements as well as for the proper functioning of the system.
Different people might be interacting with the system developed and hence people
interacting with the system must know their roles to play and how the system is
expected to respond. This necessitated the major aspects of the implementation,
training, and conversation procedures. The training must ensure that the end users
can manage with the routine as well as extraordinary operations and the system
responses.

Literature Review

According to Bourner (1996) there are good reasons for spending time and effort
on a review of the literature before embarking on a research if we said we are
going to make our web site without researching we will face problems that is why
we have think critically on this project. This are the following reasons include:
to identify gaps in the literature to avoid reinventing the wheel (at the very least
this will save time and it can stop you from making the same mistakes as others) to
carry on from where others have already reached (reviewing the field allows you to
build on the platform of existing knowledge and ideas) to identify other people
working in the same fields (a researcher network is a valuable resource) to increase
your breadth of knowledge of your subject area to identify seminal works in your
area to provide the intellectual context for your own work, enabling you to position
your project relative to other work to identify opposing views to put your work into
perspective to demonstrate that you can access previous work in an area to identify
information and ideas that may be relevant to your project to identify methods that
could be relevant to your project (Source: "The Literature Review")

2.1 Problem definition

PROBLEM DEFINITION

Karam electronic Ltd has been using manual and media based system in
advertising its services since its establishment, the systems are sufficiently okay at
that time because its target market is small. The manual and media based tools
used posters, signboard, newspapers and magazines, producing and distributing
these tools is quite burdensome task and huge amount invested is quite large and
the expected goal is never achieved.
Current system is mostly prepared manually with record in paper work for the
costumers, most sales are often very slow due to record keeping in register, and the
sales assistant will have to go round the shop to see the accessories available,
struggle up and down to notify customers for new items, if the customer demands
any services in the company he/she has to come in person mostly time consuming
and very frustrating, all the transaction is also done on paper resulting to time
wastage of both the costumer and the office assistants in general, the proposed
system is aimed at reducing few among plenty of the problems listed above, which
initialize the purpose of this research project.

Design Methodology

3.1 Analysis (DFDs, ER diagrams/Class diagrams)

In analysis stage we used the method of applying the analysis in order to
understand the wishes of the employees about the creation of the new system, to
understand how the system is running, to understand the fact of the features of the
old system. In this case we use some of the techniques like getting an interview
with the workers and giving some question to give them free time so that they can
say everything about their wishes on the system these are:
Questioners

3.2.1 Number of Modules

The numbers of modules we have in this project is:

i. Home page: is main web page of the site.
ii. Customer care: its show you information on buying.
iii. Gallery: its show you electronics image for you to select.
iv. Buy online: its show you form for you to make your own booking.
v. Contact us: its show you address of the company for you to locate us.
vi. About us: its show you information about the karam electronics company.

The structure Number of Modules

3.2.2 Data structures as per the project requirement for all modules

DATABASE MANAGEMENT MYSQL

By developing this system I use Wamp saver and PHP. The database that is used in
the project is compulsory which helps to save records. So thats why theres a need
to have a database management tools. A back-end relational database was achieved
at the end of the project by using MYSQL.

BOOKING DATABASE

The database is designed in order to save records of our customers in order to
avoid duplicate and make it easy to update, retrieve records and also provide
securities in order to protect it against un authorized user and provider.

3.2.3 Process logic of each module

Before you make your booking you have to provide us with your full details like
Full name, last name, sex e.t.c you have to specify, email address, address, state

and country. All this are required in other to have your full information to save our
databases for references purposes. In case if you want to rewrite, you can just click
on the reset button, it will help you easily to clean everything in other to let you
rewrite it again.

You most provide all the requirement that you are asked to because you will not be
allowed to make your booking without completing all the forms or else it will
show you an error and it will not be send. In case if you want to rewrite you can
click on the reset button it will help you easily to clean everything in other to let
you rewrite it again.

3.2.4 Implementation Methodology

Object oriented Analysis and Design methodology will be used during the course
of developing the web site. The technology is based on a few simple concepts that
when combined, it produces significant improvements in the website construction.

Object Oriented Methodology (OOM) is a new system development approach
encouraging and facilitating re-use of software components. With this
methodology, the website can be developed on a component basis which enables
the effective reuse of existing component and facilities the sharing of its
component by other software. UML (Unified Modeling Language) will be used in
the methodology for the project analysis and design phases. OOM applies a single
object models that evolves from the analysis and design stage and carries all the
way down to the programming level. An object contains both the data and the
functions that operate upon that data. An object can only be accessed via the
function it makes publicly available. So that all details of its implementation are
hidden from all other objects. This strong encapsulation provides the basis for the
improvements in traceability, quality, maintainability and extensibility. These are
the key features well-designed Object Oriented system that would be found in the
website software. Testing will be conducted to ensure that the program will work
as intended. Test plan, test cases, result and its conclusion of the test conducted
will be properly documented to be used for future upgrades or different versions.
The inputs and outputs will be analyzed to determine success or failure for each
test case.

3.2.5 List of report

The new system is to be designed in such a manner or way that the target throng
will be appealed with and majority, they believed set of people. The new system
will take care of the various problems facing the company today, such as the major
problem which is that it has no website so there is no full communication between
the company and the customers for example, the absence of website will cause the

company to spend a lot of money on advertisement, through the use of bill boards,
television, newspapers and broadcasting radio.
And it is a very difficult task for the company to increase its productivity and
if people want to know about the current information of the company and the type
of electronic we have instead of the customer to come to the company and ask or
make request but rather communicate directly to the company than come in person
in which is like a waste of time and resources. Also the company can use the
website to inform their staffs about any meeting and where it will hold using
posting letter which cost a lot. I have been assigned to create a website for Karam
electronics. Our objective here is to create the desired site for the company, the
purpose of the website, well equipped with the product listing to be available
online. So they will provide form for the customers to fill in their information.
Introduction of this electronics site, list of electronics prices to be accessed online
in which customer can navigate with clear and update information on the company
and the company will become popular in the country and other sub countries.

Chapter Four

4.1 Implementation of security mechanisms at various levels.

The implementation of this new system is: its an interactive web system written
with PHP, it extremely extendable and reachable to customers, whenever they may
be in this wide-world. And customer cannot get access with admin he can only get
access with Home page, Customer care, Gallery, Buy online, Contact us and about
Us. Home Page: is front page of the system where user can link other web pages.
All these pages provide information to the customer accept the Application form
page where the user need to fill in his personal and step details and submit it for
further consideration of feed The user may open internet explorer from his/her
computer and type in the web address.

Chapter Five

Future scope and further enhancement of the project

5.1 FUTURE SCOPE
PROGRAM STRENGTH: The Karam electronics company that has no system
but, now it has a system that is big enough to manage all their companys
activities. The website is a user friendly and very easy to use; customers can make
booking online and access all the pages. The systems also allow the customer to
know the exact amount of electronics he/she is wants to buy.

PROGRAM WEAKNESS: The weakness of this project was not having enough
funds to run the project fluently, which distribute enough in the quality of the
project. Also time factor was another factor that contributed, the time frame for the
project was too short which also contributed in the reduction of quality of the
project. The project is limited based on the pages with time more pages will be
needed. Also passport cannot be attached to the registration form.

5.2 FURTHER ENHANCEMENT OF THE PROJECT
In the near future, the system can be upgraded to a more sophisticated one that
could range from what the standards require. Some of the enhancements that can
be attained in the system are as follows
Opening and management of customers account.
Making payments for the goods online.
Communication between customers and the administrators.

5.3 Conclusion
CONCLUSION
This project is to developed best on e-commerce that is website, the capable of
registering clients and enabling the clients to buy electronics online. In order to
achieve this, some objectives were defined. It is with great experience that I
present this final review the system is successfully been developed using a number
of tools earlier discussed Computer and software like this: Dreamweaver, MYSQL,
Wampserver etc. Meanwhile, the careful application of these tools and have led to
development of a system that meets the defined objectives.
