1873 and died September the 30th 1897 dying at the age of only 24. She was a French lady known as Te Little Flower Of Jesus.
Although Saint Trse did die at such a young age she still did have many important events in her life. She was baptised on the 4th of January, only two days after she was born. Her mother Zelie Guerin passed away on the 28th of August 1877, when she was only four years old. On October the 2nd in 1882 Pauline who was her favourite sister out of her four sisters joined Te Carmelite Nuns Order. She then received her First Holy Communion on the 8th of May 1884. She then received her next sacrament Confrmation on the 14th of June 1884. During November in 1887 Saint Trse went to the Vatican, knelt in front of the Pope and told him that the Bishop was not allowing her to join the Carmelites but Pope Leo did not exactly accept her, he said If God wants you to join, you will be joined. She kept praying after that and then later got an acceptance letter from the Bishop and she started in the Carmelite sisters on the 9th of April 1888. She then also lost her father, Louis Martin on the 29th of July 1894. Sadly then Saint Trse did also pass away on the thirtieth of September 1897. She was then canonised on the seventieth of May 1925.
Saint Trse had four miracles that have all been approved by the Church. In 1916 a woman called Sister Louise was cured of stomach ulcers she had been sufering for three years. Te second miracle was the case of Charles Anne, a 23 year old seminarian who was near death from advanced pulmonary tuberculosis. Charles prayed to Saint Trse as he lay dying. Later, he was examined by a doctor who proclaimed tarts Charles lungs seemed to have been replaced by new lungs. After this second miracle that the Church had approved, Saint Trse became beatifed. She was now called Blessed Trse. Two miracles followed. A woman from Parma, Italy, named Gabrielle Trimusi who sufered from arthritis of the knee as well as tubular lesions on her vertebrae, was all cured. Te last miracle happened to a Belgium woman, Maria Pellemans, who sufered from pulmonary tuberculosis which had spread to her intestines (the same illness Trse died from). Maria visited Terese's grave, and after returning and being examined by her doctor, she was found to be completely cured, and all symptoms had disappeared. After these miracles were investigated and approved by the Church, Terese was ofcially canonised a saint by Pope Pius XI on May 17, 1925, a mere 28 years after her death at the age of 24.
Saint Trse showed many if not all of the Gifts and the Fruits of the Holy Spirit. She used wisdom when the bishop did not allow her to join the Carmelites because after the bishop telling her that she did not get angry but she stayed calm and went to speak to the pope. She used courage as she was committed to join the Carmelites. Saint Trse used the gift of reverence because she always loved and worshiped God. Saint Trse used the fruit of peace because even though the bishop did not allow her she didnt get angry at him. Saint Trse used the gift of patience because she waited patiently to be accepted.
I can be more like Saint Trse by trusting Gods plan and having faith that he will do whatever is best for my life. BY: RIHAN ROFAEEL
