installedinbays1and2orslotA2whenswitchesareinbays3and4).Withfour-portadapters,an
optionalUpgrade1(90Y3562)isrequiredfortheswitchtoallowcommunicationsonallfourports.With
eight-portadapters,bothoptionalUpgrade1(90Y3562)andUpgrade2(88Y6037)arerequiredforthe
switchtoallowcommunicationsonsixadapterports,andtworemainingportsarenotused.
Incomputenodesthathaveanintegrateddual-port10GbEnetworkinterfacecontroller(NIC),NICports
areroutedtobays1and2withaspecializedperiscopeconnector,andtheadaptercardinslotA1isnot
required.However,whenneeded,theperiscopeconnectorcanbereplacedwiththeadaptercard.Insuch
acaseintegratedNICwillbedisabled.
