Chief - FYI - l called /\ndrew and briefed him on all of this.
I had ChiefChronister s cell phone (Dean and I had visited him \\ hen we were out there lor MCC). I called
Chronister, and he advised that they will likely accept the award. but that they might ask to modify it to save 14
ot"J6 ofliccrs they may have to layolf in the next 2 months. Also- they are yellow-11aggcd because of a civi 1
rights investigation (probably from a January :2011 police-shooting where the officer was recently cleared).
I also ti lled Andrew in on the Las Vegas Technical Assistance project COPS is working on.
J"lllet you know if we hear anything back from the VP"s office on any events the VP may want to do in North
Las Vegas. They seem interested.

Hi Joshua and Rebekah - the Vice President is hoping to do an event in Nevada next week, and we wanted to check with
