The residents of Canton, CT express their concern over a request for zoning change in the western Canton

Farmington River region. I, the undersigned, RESPECTFULLY REQUEST THE ZONING CHANGE REQUEST ON THIS
PROPERTY, TO INDUSTRIAL, BE REJECTED by the Planning & Zoning Commission.

Land in question abuts Rt. 44, the Farmington River (New Hartford), Mohawk Drive and is in the proximity of the neighborhoods of Buttonwood
Hill Rd, Breezy Hill Rd, Old Mill Drive, Bidwell Farms Rd, Indian Hill Rd, Farmington River Turnpike, and the local residences of Albany Turnpike.
The parcel(s) of land is currently zoned Residential with open space, active small scale farming, and one small home.
We support the position that an Industrial Park on this property is NOT consistent with the Rural Character of the Town of Canton, and NOT
consistent with the Plan of Conservation and Development; and/or to show your concern about developing this piece of property as an
Industrial Park and the inherent high impact environmental and associated economic risks it poses to the Farmington River and downstream
Collinsville area.
