A new addition to the fleet
Following on from a very successful 2013, we have taken the decision to re-invest over
300,000 by purchasing our frst ever brand new vehicle. This vehicle will be built to our
exacting specifcation and will include all the usual refnements that you have come to expect
when travelling on board one of our executive vehicles. The vehicle has been carefully
selected for its luxury and comfort. It is currently being built and prepared and should be
with us by spring 2014. The vehicle will be used on our range of quality day excursions and
our comprehensive selection of holiday tours.
Thank you, Farewell & Good Luck
It is with a great deal of regret that we have to inform you of the departure of one of our
valued staff members. At the tender age of 77, Mr Brian Berry has decided to enjoy his
retirement and pursue other interests and activities in his busy life. Brian has been with us
from the early stages of our company and has become a popular driver and a familiar sight
in our coaches up and down the country. Originally employed to help us out, he along with
our company have become busier and busier over the last few years. We would like to take
this opportunity of publicly thanking him for his help in the war effort and we wish him
all the best for his active retirement plans.

Thursford Christmas Concerts
Thursford Christmas Spectacular is the biggest and most popular Christmas show in Britain.
Each year over 80,000 people see this wonderful pageant of seasonal spectacle and colour
as it takes place from late November until Christmas, with two shows each day, every day.
Its one of Englands best kept secrets! Last year, A&P Travel carried over 600 delighted
passengers on excursions to these concerts.
The show is a brilliant mix of Christmas songs, carols, dance, costumes, choirs, bands
and entertainers, from the traditional to the modern and expertly enhanced by the Mighty
Wurlitzer. Its as good as any West End show and the stage is over 80 feet long with a state
of the art lighting system. Also at The Thursford Collection there are gift shops housed in
restored barns, with a traditional Dickensian Christmas feel.

**New Excursion**
First fashionable for its spa waters in the 18th century, Hampstead has long been Londons
most gorgeous hilltop hideaway. Between Hampstead Village and Highgate, its heath is a

Robert Adam intended. As well as the library, the Caring for Kenwood programme sees the
restoration of three other Robert Adam-designed rooms, the redecoration of four rooms in
the 18th century style, and the repair of the houses slate roof to protect not only the interiors
but the internationally important collection of paintings by among others, Rembrandt,
Vermeer, Turner and Gainsborough.
