General Instructions
Fabric shrinkage is possible. Pre-wash and steam iron all
fabrics.
(1 cm) seam allowance is included.
Turning right side out: This refers to sewing together two
identically cut pieces (sometimes with batting) leaving an
opening in the center of one side.
Trim corners.
Gently poke out corners (e.g. with a letter opener).
Turn through opening.
Turn under seam allowance on opening and blind-stitch.
Satchel: Cutting
Pieces A Referring to diagram 1, place pattern A on fold of
fabric and cut out.
Repeat three more times.
Likewise place pattern A on fold of batting and cut out.
Repeat one more time.
Iron batting onto wrong side of 2 fabric pieces.
Pieces B = side/bottom/side strip:
cut 2 strips fabric 6 x 32 (16 x 83 cm)
cut 1 strip batting 6 x 32 (16 x 83 cm)
Iron batting onto wrong side of a fabric pieces.
Piece C = straps or handles:
cut 2 strips fabric 5 x 15 (12 x 37 cm) cut 2 strips
batting 2 x 15 (6 x 37 cm) Iron a batting strip centered on
the wrong side of a fabric strip.

Repeat for second strap.
Construction: Refer to diagram 1.
Handles: Fold the long sides of strip B over the batting strip
and press.
Fold in half and press. Stitch (0,75 cm) along both long
edges.
Repeat for second strap.
Front and back of bag: Place a strap on the right side of a
pattern piece A with batting (marked with xs in diagram 1)
with right sides together, sew a pattern piece A with batting
and a strap and a pattern piece A without batting along all
4 sides, catching the handles. Leave a 4 (10 cm) opening
in center bottom for turning and proceed as in general
instructions.
Repeat with second straps and A pieces.
Quilt referring to diagram 1 waving lines.
Straight line stitch (0,75 cm) along side a.
Side/bottom/side of bag: With right sides together, sew and
turn right side out as in general instructions.
Completing the bag: From marking point * to * pin the
side/bottom/side strip along an A piece with edges facing
outwards (insides are right sides together).
Use a (0,75 cm) seam allowance to stitch together
making sure all layers are caught.
Repeat using side/bottom/side strip and second A
piece.
Logo: Cut out the designers name from the selvage.
Turn under a seam allowance and press.
Add as decoration to front of bag.
Change Purse
Cutting: Refer to diagrams 2 a and b.
Cut 2 rectangles D 6 x 16 (16 x 40 cm) from fabric
Cut 1 rectangle D 6 x 16 (16 x 40 cm) from batting.
Iron batting onto the wrong side of fabric piece.
Construction: Sew the two rectangles right sides together and
turn right side out (see general instructions).
Stitch (0,75 cm) along side a (see diagram 2 a). Sew one
part of a 2
(7 cm) Velcro tape centered on the back and 1 (4 cm) from
side a (see broken gray line in diagram).
Sew second part of Velco tape centered on the front and 1
(4,5 cm) from side c (see gray rectangle in diagram 2 a).
Fold side a 5 (13 cm) to the front matching markings in
diagram 2 b.
Stitch (0,75 cm) along both sides b.
Fold side c 1 (3 cm) to the back.
Turn and stitch (0,75 cm) along the four sides of
the rectangle formed. Fold down fap.

Cellphone Case Cellphone size approx. 4 x 1 x (10 x 4,4
x 1,9 cm).
You may have to adjust pattern to your cellphone
measurements.
Cutting:
Refer to diagram 3.
Cut 2 rectangles E 3 x 13 (9 x 33 cm) from fabric Cut 1
rectangle 3 x 13 (9 x 33 cm) from batting Iron batting onto
the wrong side of one fabric piece.
Construction: Layer the two rectangles right sides together.
Cut the left shorter side into a smooth curve.
Sew together and turn right side out as above. Stitch (0,75
cm) along side a.
Sew one part of a (2 cm) Velcro tape centered on the back
and (0,75 cm) from side a (see broken gray line in diagram
3). Sew second part of Velcro tape centered on the front and
(1,5 cm) form side c (see gray rectangle in diagram 3).
Fold side a 4 (11 cm) to the front matching markings in
diagram 3.
On the left side, approx. 1 (2,5 cm) from a, slip both ends of
the cord between the folds.
Stitch (0,75 cm) along the folded sides catching the cord
ends.
Fold down fap. Lay cord over one handle of bag and slip
cellphone case through it.
Place case into satchel.
The cord has two functions: 1) you will not loose your
cellphone and 2) you can fnd it easily in your satchel!
