Dear Hard Work, I used to hate you.

When you call my name, I heard of running away from

you. When I knew you were coming, I used to hide from you. When you influence others to
talk to me, I quickly made excuses to get away from you. Afraid of the pain, because I didnt
want to get hurt. Afraid to fail, so I didnt even try. Afraid of your name, because of what you
have done to others.
Who do you think you are? Making me so afraid of who you are; reflection in the mirror;
shadow behind me. I take one step and you are still one step ahead of me. Sweat in my
face. Tears in my eyes. I keep on going. I heard you tell no lies. You turn the potter to rich. F
to the As. Is there anything that you cant do.
Now look at me, you make me who I am today. Because of you, I have this never giving,
never losing attitude. Quitting, that is not in my vocabulary. When they quit, I keep going.
When they sleep, I work harder. When they say that I cant and count me out, I show them
that I can. When I tell them about my dreams and they laugh, I make sure I laugh last.
I am a dream chaser. That means I chase my dreams, no one else. Only I can defeat me. It
is me against this work you put on me. There is no losing. I will not lose. I came this far and
I am not stopping now. Oh hard work. My dad was right about you, you do pay off. And

Rpidamente inventaba excusas para alejarme de ti. Asustado del dolor, porque no quera
lastimarme. Asustado de fallar, entonces ni siquiera intentaba. Asustado de tu nombre, por lo
que has hecho a otros. Quien te crees que eres? Asustandome por quien eres. Reflejandote en
el espejo. La sombra detrs de mi. Doy un paso y sigues delante mio. Sudor en mi rostro,
lgrimas en mis ojos. Seguir adelante. Escuche que no dices mentiras. T convertiste al pobre
en rico, malas calificaciones en buenas. Hay algo que no puedas hacer? Ahora mrame. T me

Cuando duermen, yo trabajo mas duro. Cuando dicen que no puedo y me retan, les demuestro
que puedo. Cuando les cuento de mis sueos y se ren, me aseguro de rer menos. Soy un
cazador de sueos, significa que busco mis sueos, y los de nadie mas. Solo yo puedo
vencerme. Soy yo contra mi entrenamiento. No hay derrota. No voy a perder. Llegue hasta
aqu, y no voy a detenerme ahora. Querido 'trabajo duro', mi entrenador tenia razn sobre ti,
cumples lo que prometes, y por eso, te amo. Como no voy a hacerlo? Ya no me escondo de ti.
