Step 1:
Make wooden/ plywood moulds to the size
wanted. If the bricks will be used with
concrete bricks you need to make them the
same size. Otherwise its up to you Its
quicker to build with large blocks but smaller
ones are asier to handle.
Step 2:
Tear up news paper or any soft ( not glossy)
paper into small squares and soak in cold
water for at least 48 hours. Make sure you
store with a lid as it smell really bad!

Step 3
Mix 3 cups of soaked paper, 2 cups of soil
preferably red clay (with no stones), 1 cup
cement and stir until all ingredients had
blended together. Sometimes it helps to add
1 ingredient at a time. Add some water if mix
looks dry. An electric drill with stirrer is
quickest but a fork will do.

Step 4
Fill your plywood moulds. Making sure it is
pressed down firmly. You will need to make
holes for reinforcement rods in the same
place on each brick and roughen the surface
with scratch marks so holds the mortar.

Step 5
Turn out after 24 hours and leave to dry
thoroughly in a dry place for several days
before using
