Community Standards Pledge

(As of August 31st, 2014)

As a member of the Columbia University Marching Band, I agree to create spaces
for open dialogue regarding sexual assault and recognize that sexual violence and
harassment often occur within groups of friends and family that we know and
trust.

As a member of the Columbia University Marching Band, I pledge to remain
aware of my surroundings and identify and intervene in non-consensual
interactions that I witness. I resolve to be watchful, concerned and caring, while
stepping up and checking in with members of our group.
As a member of the Columbia University Marching Band, I pledge to neither
condone nor commit acts of violence, and I understand that the Bored upholds a
zero-tolerance policy for instances of sexual assault.
I have been provided with and have read through the Bored policy on sexual
harassment and assault.

As a group of close friends and peers, we pledge to support each other and
maintain a positive and respectful environment for all members of our
organization.
