EXT. PLANET JESPER - EARLY MORNING
A field surrounds a few acres of dense trees. A large, sleek
SPACESHIP sits in the long grass.
SUPER: PLANET JESPER
The clump of trees light up every few seconds. Something
inside them pulses with blue and red lights.
EXT. JUNGLE - EARLY MORNING
A battle rages in the trees.
HENRY (late 20s), decked out in a futuristic battlesuit,
BLASTS AWAY with his LASER RIFLE into the trees. We soon see
why.
Florescent ALIENS WEAVE IN AND OUT of the trees like killer
monkeys, zigzagging toward Henry. He keeps blasting. His
shots HIT their mark on one of the aliens, blasting off
pieces of rubber-like skin. But it keeps coming.
Two more are on their way. Henrys shots blast the wounded
ones head off. He turns to the others, firing away without
hesitation. A true warrior at work.
Henry sprays into the trees, DECIMATING the next two and
knocking over a tree. He stands, breathing heavily. He
flings down his rifle, exhausted.
Other laser blasts continue nearby. Hes not alone.
EXT. JUNGLE - NEARBY HILLTOP - EARLY MORNING
A squad of SOLDIERS, all wearing the same battlesuit Henry
wears, fend off aliens from above. They BLAST downward,
taking down a wave of them.
Then, everything stops. All their foes are destroyed.
A beat.
All the soldiers CHEER. Another clean victory.
COLTS (25), stops cheering for a second, remembering.
COLTS
Wheres Henry?

EXT. JUNGLE - EARLY MORNING
Back to Henry. He picks up his gun and begins to work his
way toward his squad.
A RUSTLING sound. Henry whips his rifle toward the sound,
ready to pull the trigger. What was that?
The sound again. Then again. Henry makes his way over to the
a fallen tree. The sound again.
Henry kneels down at the small rustling bush. He pushes the
leaves aside and gasps.
EXT. JUNGLE EDGE - MORNING
The squad makes camp at their spaceship. A few yell for
Henry.
COLTS
Henry! Henry!
Hes cant just yell. He walks up to their leader, LODMAN.
COLTS
I gotta go back for him.
LODMAN
Nobody goes back in those woods.
Colts sighs angrily and walks away, yelling.
COLTS
Henry!!
Henry walks out of the woods with something on his shoulder.
HENRY
Hey guys.
Colts smiles, walking toward him.
COLTS
You douche. Why cant you ever
fight with the squad?
HENRY
Im okay, arent I?
COLTS
That doesnt- HENRY!
(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: 3.
Colts TACKLES Henry and tears something off of his shoulder.
A small CREATURE the size of a small cat. Colts THROWS it on
the ground, pointing his rifle at it.
COLTS
Man, howd you miss that? Guys!
Hey! Guys!
HENRY
What the hell man? I found it. It
was stuck because of me. Plus, its
kinda cute.
They both look at it. Its a puffball of tentacles with
three big eyes. But it is kinda cute.
The rest of the squad shuffles over. They surround the
thing.
SOLDIER 1
What is it? Ive never seen one
that didnt try to kill me.
Lodman pushes his way through the crowd. Sees it. He pulls
his gun out just like Colts did.
HENRY
Dont! Dont shoot it. It didnt do
anything. It let me pet it.
LODMAN
What has gotten into you, soldier?
We dont know what this is.
SOLDIER 2
It could give us swine flu or
something. I was in France at the
time. They set up this plan-
LODMAN
Be quiet soldier.
Soldier 2 shuts up.
HENRY
Just dont shoot it. It might be
hurt.
LODMAN
(pissed now)
Good! Good god dammit! Im gonna
get rid of this thing.
(CONTINUED)
CONTINUED: 4.
HENRY
No!
Lodman OPENS FIRE, blasting half a clip into the creature.
Smoke billows around it.
Then the smoke clears, revealing the hole Lodman created.
Everyone looks into it.
The creature is unharmed! It bobs up and down cutely.
COLTS
What?
Then the creature SCREAMS! The piecing noise makes everyone
close their ears. Lodman and Colts drop their rifles.
Above them, STORM CLOUDS appear in the cloudless sky. They
twist around each other like the beginning of a tornado.
The screaming stops. And it begins to rain aliens.
Hundreds of the aliens from before fall from the sky.
The squad looks around themselves, amazed.
LODMAN
(coming out of a trance)
Lets go! GO! GO! GO!
The squad is back in action. Colts and Lodman pick up their
guns and the soldier RACE back to their spaceship, several
hundred yards away.
Henry, still on the ground, scrambles his way over the hole
and joins his team.
They FIRE AWAY at the attacking aliens, some of whom have
made it to the ground. More fall by the thousands. Henry
runs, clutching something in his arms.
They fight their way through the tall grass. Soldier 2 is
GRABBED by an alien and RIPS him in half like paper. Colts
BLASTS it full in the face.
More soldiers fall, but most of them make it to the ship.
The last soldier to the door is taken by an alien.
The door shuts and the aliens JUMP onto the ship, CLINGING
on as it it lifts off and flies away.
5.
INT. SPACESHIP - SPACE
The squad, no longer suited up. Relax for the first time in
hours. They all sit in a circle, saying nothing, until-
LODMAN
Wheres Henry?
INT. SPACESHIP - QUARTERS - SPACE
Henry places the baby alien in his locker and puts his
finger up to his mouth.
HENRY
Shhhh...
