besig te hou nie. Wees kreatief
en beplan n lekker uitstappie
saam met jou kind. n Lekker dag
hoef jou nie duisende rande uit
die sak te jaag nie. Hier is n
paar voorstelle wat as inspirasie
kan dien.
n Paar algemene voorstelle
1. Gaan hou piekniek in n par-
kie naby jul huis. Betrek jou kind
by die inpak van jul piekniek-
mandjie deur hulle byvoorbeeld
te vra om worsies en stukkies
kaas op tandestokkies te help
inryg. Of vat papierborde saam
wat hulle kan versier deur daar-
op te teken.
2. Vind uit watter vakansiepro-
gramme jou plaaslike biblioteek
beplan. Biblioteke het dikwels
wonderlike aktiwiteite en
leeshoekies wat kleingoed ure
kan besig hou sonder dat dit jou
enigiets uit die sak jaag.
Doen saam met jou kind n
goeie daad of vrywilligerswerk.
Julle kan byvoorbeeld saam n
tehuis vir bejaardes gaan be-
soek en vir die inwoners n tuis-
gemaakte kaartjie en n paasei-
er gee. Gesels met jou kind oor
hoekom julle dit doen en hoor
hoe hulle wil of kan help.
Lekker goedkoop opsies in jou

tis. Kinders kan na hartelus
verken en sal definitief n
eekhoring of drie te siene kry.
n Ander gratis buitelugopsie is

Die Bugz-gesinspeelpark in
Kraaifontein is n heerlike speel-
plek. Daar is roeibootjies,
vierwiel-motorfietse, n
speelgoedtrein, klimrame
en sandputte om die
kleingoed besig te hou.
Toegang is R35 vir kinders
en R25 vir volwassenes. Dis
ideaal vir gesinne met min
speelplek by die huis. Bel 021-

Die Warrior-
speelgoedmuseum in Simon-
stad is goedkoop (toegang is
R5) en oud en jonk sal hulle
verlustig in di versameling
outydse speelgoed soos
pophuise, karretjies en ted-
diebere.
Grot-gholf (Cave Golf) by
die V&A Waterfront is n minia-
tuurgholfbaan met vele inter-
essante hindernisse om julle
besig te hou. Dit kos slegs R15
per persoon per ronde.

Our gymnasts participated in the Western Cape District Trials last weekend and obtained the following:

They will be competing in the South African Championships during the holiday. We wish them all the best!

Prysuitdeling/ Prize giving (6 NOV 2014)
Al die leerders wat in 2014 provinsiale kleure verwerf het in n sportsoort of
kultuuraktiwiteit wat nie deur die skool aangebied word nie, kan die be-
sonderhede (saam met die bewyse) vir Mnr. Dirkie Adams gee. Sluitingsdatum is 20
Oktober 2014.
All learners who received provincial colours in 2014 for any sports code or cultural ac-
tivity not presented by our school must send the details with proof to Mr Dirkie Adams.
Closing date for submission: 20 October 2014.
Konsert/ Concert
Die OOV wil graag vir die graadverteenwoordigers asook elke ouer wat tydens die konsert met die snoepie,
McDonalds meals asook die eetgoed gehelp het, bedank. Dankie vir elke ouer se ondersteuning JULLE IS

Thank you to all parents who assisted with concert supervising and make-up, it is greatly appreciated!
We would like to thank our WPS parents for showing respect and tolerance during our concert practices and even-
ing shows.
Thank you to our ground staff and Mr Bart Oosthuizen for organising parking and the safety of our vehicles for the
duration of the show. They also locked up afterwards and only left at 22:30. Thank you!
Algemene Jaarvergadering/ Annual General Meeting
Begrotingsvergadering: Dinsdag, 4 Nov. 2014 om 18:00
WPS wens u in kennis te stel van die jaarlikse algemene begrotingsvergadering deur die beheerliggaam op
Dinsdag, 4 Nov. 2014 om 18:00 in die skoolsaal.
Die Suid-Afrikaanse Skolewet (afdeling 38[1] en [2]) vereis dat die skool se beheerliggaam n jaarlikse begroting
moet voorberei en aan die ouers van die skool moet voorl vir oorweging en goedkeuring. Alle ouers word dus na
die voorlegging uitgenooi. Alle besluite wat by hierdie vergadering geneem word, is bindend en van toepassing
op alle ouers/ voogde wat kinders in die skool het.
Neem asb. kennis van die volgende:
Dit is onvermydelik dat daar n styging in skoolfooie sal wees, maar die BHL doen alles in hul vermo
om die styging so laag as moontlik te hou.
Die prosedure en kriteria vir skoolfondsvrystelling en vermindering is by die skool beskikbaar.
Die voorgestelde begroting sal vanaf Dinsdag, 14 Okt. 2014 by die skool vir besigtiging beskikbaar
wees. U moet n afspraak met die skoolhoof maak indien u insae hierin wil h.
Budget meeting: Tuesday, 4 Nov. 2014 at 18:00
WPS would hereby wish to inform you of the annual general budget meeting of the school governing body. It will
be held in the school hall on Tuesday, 4 Nov. 2014 at 18:00.
The South African schools act (section 38[1] and [2] requires that the governing body must prepare and present an
annual budget to the parents for consideration and approval. All parents and legal guardians are invited to attend
the presentation. All decisions taken at the meeting are binding and applicable to all parents/ guardians of learn-
ers at the school.
Please take note of the following:
It is unavoidable that the school fees will increase, but the SGB is doing all they can to keep the
increase as low as possible.
The procedures and criteria for full, partial or conditional exemption of school fees are available at
the school.
The proposed budget will be available at the school from Tuesday, 14 Oct. 2014. (You must make an
appointment with the principal.)

School Communicator
Dear parents,
From January 2015 our school will be communicating with all parents via the School Communicator. This is a more
cost-effective and trusted means of communication. It can be downloaded onto your computer or smartphone. We
will have a launch on the evening of Tuesday, 11 November 2014. Parents will be able to bring their devices
should they need assistance with the installation. We are moving forward! WATCH THIS SPACE!!
