(Scene 1: MPR 12 noon)

1. LS <r Sammy runs through door with Del

Pedro chasing him
DEL PEDRO
“Your mine now!”
Camera pans while they run.
2. LS Sammy <R front, Sammy trips on himself
and falls.
SAMMY
“NOOOOO!!!”
Screen turns black.
3. M2S (fade in) detective Jim and Jill looking
at Sammy lying dead on the floor.
JIM
“Do we know who this guy is?”
JILL
“Taylor is working on that right now”
4. CS Jim to Jill
 JILL
“Time of death was about three hours ago”
5. CS Jill to Jim
JIM
“That means this happened during school”
6. CS Jim to Jill

JILL

“Yes, that would be the case”

7. CS Jill to Jim
Jim
“Let’s wrap him up
And take him to the lab”
(Fades out)
(Scene 2: science classroom shortly after)
8. MS <R Detective Jim looking through a
microscope
9. LS Detective Jill walks up to Jim
JILL
“His name is Sammy Hill”
10. OTS Jill to Jim
JIM
“He has a bullet in his head...this is the
bullet we found.
11. M2S Jim and Jill, Jim is showing a bullet in
a bag.
JILL
“I see, looks like a bullet from a GP 35”
Jill picks up bullet.”
12. ECU just the bullet in the bag
13. OTS Jim to Jill
JILL
“This bullet is made of gold…only one store
in the area sell these bullets.”
14. MS <R front Jim moving and sitting in front
of computer, camera follows.
“Let’s see if we can get into the stores
records and see who last bought these
bullets”
15. MS <B Jill walking towards computer to
watch him.
16. OTS Jim to computer
JIM
“The name is Nick Bravo; he lives at 6750
Upper park rd.
17. CU Jill’s head
JILL
“Let’s go!”
18. LS <R behind, Jim and Jill run out of room.
(clean exit)
19. LS end hallway, Jim and Jill run by and out
the door. (clean entrance and exit)
(Scene 3: Nick’s house, afternoon)
20. LS of a house (showing the house that Nick
lives in)
21. LS showing a door open with Jim and Jill
holding “guns”
JIM
“Baldwin Park police department…come out”
22. MS <R showing Nick step out of chair and
walk towards door. (Camera pans to follow
him)
VOICEOVER (JIM)
“Nick….come out now!!!!”
23. POV Nick peeking out door and looking at
Jim and Jill.
24. MS Nick talking to Jim and Jill
NICK
“Can I help you?”
25. OTS Nick to Jim
JIM
“We have a warrant to check your premises
for bullets and a gun registered under your
name.
Jill holds up a piece of paper folded in
thirds.
26. OTS Jim to Nick
NICK
 “I will show you my gun but I’m not guilty of
any charges.”
27. CS Nick to Jim
JIM
“Ok, I’m not saying you are guilty I just
want to see the weapon.”
28. Cs Jim to Nick
“Ok then, follow me”
29. LS behind Nick, Nick turns around and
walks out of camera view, Jim and Jill follow
him. (clean exit)
30. MS <R Nick gesturing towards drawer
NICK
“Here it is, you’re free to go through it”
31. CU Jill opening drawer to find that it is
empty.
JILL
“There is nothing in there”
32. MS front Nick is freaking out.

NICK

“You have got to be kidding me!!!”

Nick reaches in the drawer and feels

around. He pulls out a note. (Camera
follows)

33. M2S Jim and Jill standing next to each

other.
JILL
“Where is the gun and what is that?!”
34. OTS Jill to Nick
NICK
“I, I, I have no idea, but this not says
something.”
35. OTS Nick to Jill
JILL
“Then tell us what it says!!!”
36. CU on note to reveal what it says
NICK
 “It says: Hey buddy, needed to borrow your
gun. Have it back by tomorrow. Your good
friend, Del Pedro.”

37. Profile Jim talking

JIM
“And who might Del Pedro be?”
38. OTS Jill to Nick
NICK
“H, h...He is my friend.”
(Stuttering)
39. OTS Nick to Jill
JILL
“And why the heck does he have your
weapon?”
(Emphasis on ‘your’)
40. CS Jill to Nick
NICK
“I don’t know….he would never take
something from me without asking.”
41. CS Nick to Jill
JILL
“So let me get this straight, your friend too
your gun and killed somebody you don’t
know?”
42. MS LR Nick

NICK

“Yes it is”

43. MS LR Jim
JIM
“Ok, then you’re free to go… for now”
44. LS Behind Jim and Jill walk out of camera’s
view (clear exit)
(Scene: 4 Science lab, afternoon)
45. LS Jim and Jill studying Sammy
46. M25 Jim and Jill looking down while talking
JIM
“So, what’s next? We don’t have the gun
for fingerprints?”
47. LS Corner of room, Jim picks up the bullet
and walks out the room. Jill follows him.
(Fade out)
48. M2S (Fade in) Jim and Jill talking
JIM
“It is confirmed that this bullet was held
by Del Pedro.”
JILL
“Where can we find him?”
49. Profile Jim
JIM
“His credit card was just used at a
bookstore.
50. M2S Jim and Jill
JIM
“The bookstore is called: Books Unlimited.”
JILL
“I know where that is.”
51. LS corner of library (Jim and Jill walk in)
52. MS Del Pedro reading a magazine… Jim
walks up and puts his arm on his shoulder
53. M2S Del Pedro and Jim
JIM
“Why did you kill Sammy?”
Del Pedro is silent
JIM
“I repeat… why did you kill Sammy?”
DEL PEDRO
“He had everything I wanted… I hated him
with a passion.”
54. LS Front Jim turns Del Pedro around and
walks him away
JILL
“You’re going away for a long time.”
Screen turns black
