Hi,

My name is Bethany Paquette. I am a 23 year old Canadian and I am interested in working for AMARUK as
an assistant guide intern this winter. I would like to work for you because I think it will be beneficial for
my future endeavors, and have heard that it is an amazing company to work for. I have been raft guiding
for the last three summers, and would like to become more involved in wilderness guiding as well.

My certifications include standard first aid and CPR. In addition, I am planning on taking a 90hr wilderness
first aid course on October 15, 2014. During the last three years I have been working in leadership
positions with international students while attending university. This position involved being extremely
hospitable, understanding, patient, and flexible. I have also worked as a whitewater raft guide with
for the last three seasons. Raft guiding is a high paced occupation that has honed my skills
in problem solving, managing risk, and being able to take charge in any given situation. I have experience
running both single and two-day trips with . During the two-day trips we ensure customer care and
build relationships; in addition, we set-up and take-down the camp, prepare all meals using stoves or
dutch ovens. I have worked for OMADA team building and have learned to facilitate discussions and
events. I was also responsible for organizing and managing activities suitable for various groups.

There are many similarities between my work experience and working as an assistant guide. This
includes being able to evaluate your surrounding environment, act appropriately and efficiently, while
also providing customer satisfaction. Through my past work experience I believe that I could be an asset
to your company.

Sincerely,

Bethany Paquette
