But let's forget about the ethical and environmental reasons because to be hones
t, they are not that important to most of us if in fact eggs are healthy. So let
's talk about some facts. I will bring science into the table:
The Harvard physicians study followed 20,000 doctors for 20 years and those that
ate just one egg a day had significant increase in all-cause mortality:

You might believe that eggs are good source of protein which is not a crazy thin
g to believe because I used to believe that and I understand where you are comin
g from. So let's talk about protein that is found in eggs:
We all know that the egg whites contain protein but the real question is: Is thi
s really a good source of protein? Let's check the scientific studies and find o
ut:
Here is some evidence of a major component of egg whites, Methionine, causing hu
man harm:
1. Egg whites are high in the amino Acid Methionine. Rice has 14 times less of t
his amino acid and beans 7 time less. When one consumes Methionine in a large qu
antity (like that found in egg whites), it is broken down into sulfuric compound
s. These sulfuric compounds are buffered by the calcium of the bones. The result
, over time, is osteoporosis and kidney stones.

2. Cancer cell metabolism is dependent upon methionine being present in the diet
; whereas normal cells can grow on a methionine-free diet feeding off other sulf
ur-containing amino acids.

3. Insulin like growth factor is raised significantly by Methionine. Raised leve
ls of IGF-1 = accelerated aging/tumor promotion.

4.Sulfur from Methionine is known to be toxic to the tissues of the intestine, a
nd to have harmful effects on the human colon, even at low levels, possibly caus
ing ulcerative colitis.

After checking all of these scientific studies, you will realize that eggs are n
ot a good source of protein at all.
There is this famous vegan Doctor on youtube called Dr. Michael Greger who share
s great nutrition related videos that are showcasing the latest scientific nutri
tional studies. The videos are mostly 3 minutes long so it's an awesome channel
to check it out. He basically shows and reads out loud the most important parts
of the scientific study/article and shows the results of these studies with no b
ias at all. He made a lot of videos about eggs and showed scientific studies on
why eggs are not healthy and I will share the most important ones on here. These

cientific studies on these videos so you can check them out by yourself and read
these studies if you want. You might see some doctors on internet talking about
how healthy the eggs are but you will understand the reasons on why they are do
ing that after watching the videos above. All of the scientific studies that has
been made on eggs cannot be ignored.

A quick summary on why doctors are giving bad nutritional advice:
People often take health advices from doctors to live longer and healthier but t
he sad fact is that doctors have 58 years of average life expectancy. They often
eat the unhealthiest diets and pump themselves with drugs whenever they feel so
mething is wrong. There is no profit to be made in recommending a healthy diet a
nd lifestyle change to patients because a healthy person doesn't depend on pharm
aceuticals and repeat visits! Most of the doctors keep people sick and make them
a lifelong patient/costumer whether they are aware of it or not. Majority of th
e doctors are not educated on nutrition as well. They won't fix the cause of the
problem (which is diet) and try to fix the symptoms with drugs which doesn't wo
rk in the long run.

Another problem with eating eggs (or meat) is that people who eat meat/dead fles
h and eggs gets body worms in them and this is actually really common. They are
called roundworms and they cause a lot of problems. If this subject interests yo

These worms only can live in an acidic environment which your body gets when you
eat meat and dairy but they can't live in an alkaline environment. So they can'
t live in high pH levels. Fruits, plant foods/vegetables and all other vegan foo
ds have high pH levels so these worms can't live in you when you have a vegan di

So in short,
Eggs contain lots of cholesterol. Eggs are actually one of the highest animal pr
oducts that contains the most amount of cholesterol. Only animal brains contain
more cholesterol than eggs. Just thinking about this is rather disgusting. Knowi
ng that the human body produce enough cholesterol, there is no need to eat eggs
for cholesterol content and it's actually very unhealthy. I shared a lot of scie
ntific studies so far and all of them proves that eggs are not health foods. Eat
ing eggs are not good for you, for animals and for the environment. In addition,
did you know that eggs are chicken periods. Yes you heard me right! Do you want
to be consuming animal period? You know that chicken will still lay eggs withou
t rooster fertilizing those eggs, so it's the chickens period. Woman also have th
eir periods and they get rid of unfertilized eggs every month. Check out this yu

like woman do but in today's world chickens are bred in a way (and changed thei
r DNA) that they lay eggs almost every day. They are forced to produce a lot of

Now let's talk about protein:
If you are concerned that you can't get enough protein on a vegan diet, then let
me give you a reality check:
The World Health Organization sets the standard of minimum of %5 of your calorie
s coming from protein per day and most fruits average 5 to 7 percent of calories
coming from protein and it even contains all of the 8 essential amino acids tha
t our body needs. So even if you eat only fruits you will get enough protein eas
ily. If you throw in some nuts, sprouts, lentils, rice, potatoes...etc. you will
get more than enough protein. Most vegetables average 10 to 15 of calories comi
ng from protein. You get the picture. Let me give you some numbers:
Apples are %2 protein
Avocados are %4 protein
Bananas are %5 protein
Oranges are %8 protein
Oatmeal is %16 protein
Potatoes are %18 protein
Tomatoes are %19 protein
Broccoli %33 protein
Lentils %34 protein
Soybeans %35 protein
Lettuce %36 protein
Spinach %50 protein
Mushroom %56 protein
Starches range from 6 to 28 percent calories coming from protein.
Beans range from 20 to 58 percent protein depending on the type of beans.
Seeds and nuts also contain a lot of protein

When you ask these old vegans or any long time vegans "when is the last time you
felt sick?" they mostly say that they don't remember it or it was before s/he w
as vegan. What I noticed with myself is the same thing, I used to get cold often
and almost always had runny nose in the winter, but since I am a vegan, I have
never felt sick. I am not even kidding and %100 serious. It's interesting stuff.
