Colombias Classification

I and my uncles were in the airport at 8pm the day before the match. I was so excited because we were
traveling to Cartagena, for the Colombias soccer match against Ecuador the next day. When we reached
Cartagena, we took a taxi at 11 pm to Barranquilla, the city of the creeks. We took 2 hours from
Cartagena to Barranquilla. I was so exhausted like a football player that had played 7 hours. We reached
the house of my uncles girlfriend that also traveled with us. We fall down to the beds like trees falling
down. We were sleeping, snoring like lions, very well. At 3 am I woke up feeling the air as cold as in the
Antarctica, I was thinking why Barranquilla is so cold at night, until I realized that it was the air
conditioner, so I shut it down. The next day I woke up very happy because that day was the match. We
ate a fish with eggs, which smelled and tasted very good, for breakfast. We were thinking that the tickets
that we had, were for south part of the stadium and in there were not fixed places so we had to go earlier
and we had to get there, running like Bolt, to take good places.

We were finally in the stadium, after a line of 3 hours, and we took very good places near the western
part of the stadium. Everyone in the stadium was happy kids in Christmas, waiting for the soccer team of
Colombia to get out. Unfortunately, it started to rain very hard and then appeared a thunder storm. We
were under the stadiums roof so we didnt get wet, but the people that were not under the roof. Oh my
God! They got wet like wet rag pickers inside a pool. Everyone was shouting a lot to raise the spirit of
all. When I saw the soccer field, it looked like a pool. I was so scared that they could not play the match
that day and that they change it for another day. I was hearing the tiny radio and they were saying that
the match had to be played that day no matter the time is it. After 2 hours they decided that they will
play the match so when they got out to warm up, everyone in the stadium was screaming in happiness.
When it started, there was a suspense that was going to kill me of nervous. Those 90 minutes were the
largest 90 minutes of my entire life. When the match finished everyone screamed and made sound, were
crying of happiness.

After that emotionally match everyone in Barranquilla was celebrating the classification of Colombia to
the Soccer World Cup in Brazil. Finally, the Sunday we arrive to Bogota and a lot of my friends told me
that I appeared in TV.
