How to Give Milk aright

How to give milk aright :

a. how to give milk aright
give mothers milk in relaxe conditions for mother and baby.
Make the mothers conditions is comfortable.
For some first weeks, baby needs mothers milk every 2,5 -3 hours.
Immediately before the end of sixth week, the mainly babys need for mothers milk every 4 hours.
Much of the baby sleep nightlong so mother dont need to feed he baby in the night. (Saryono, 2008;
h. 30)

b. the position when giving milk

1) hug position
Classic position and become mothers passion, this position allow the babys stomach and mothers
stomach meet so mother dont need to rev her head when give milk.babys head located in the
mothers hug, prop bodys head and babys back and babys arm in its side.(Saryono ,2008; h. 34).

2) Football hold position
This position is very comfortable if mother has recovered from caesarean, have big breast, give milk
for prematures baby or baby that have small size or give milk to a twin baby in same time. Prop bays
head with hand, use pillow to prop back of the mother. (Saryono, 2008; h; 35).

3) lying position
This position when mother and baby feel tired. When the mother just recovered from caesarean, this
is maybe just the one position that usually used in some first day.prop mothers head with arm and
prop baby with upper arm.(Saryono, 2008; h. 35).

d. the consequence if mother have a fault position when give the milk
1. nippl will menjadi chafed
2. Mothers milk will not appear optimally and influence the mothers milk production.
3. Baby will not suckle on breast
4. Baby will puffed up

e. steps give milk aright
1. tell the purpose of healthy education
2. washing the hands before giving milk and teach mother
3. mother sitting or lying relaxe(if sitting was better than using a low chair so mothers foot hanging
and mothers back lean on the chairs).
4. ask and help mother to take off her upper clothes.
5. Before give mothers milk,take out mothers milk little, after that dab it around nippl and aurora (
this way used for disinfectan and keep nippls humidity).
6. Teach mother to put baby on one arm, babys head in the elbows curve and babys ass on
mothers lower arm
7. teach mother to stick her stomach with babys stomach by put one of babys hand in the back of
mothers body and the another one hand in the front, babys head facing the breast.
8. teach the mother to positioning the babys with ears and arm on the straight line.
9. teach mother to hold her breast with her thumb in the upsite and another finger prop up inthe
downside and dont push the nippl and its areola
10. teach mother to enamoured babys mouth to open : touch babys cheek with nippl or touch the
side of babys mouth.
11. After babys open his mouth ( sugest mother to get close quickly babys head to mothers breast,
then get the nippl and areola to the babys mouth)
12. After babys start to sipping, ask mother to not touch or prop the breast again.
13. sugest mother to paaay attention to her baby when giving milk.
14. Teach mother how to take down babys figment ( little finger get into babys mouth from side of the
mout or push down babys chin.
15. After Finish give milk, teach mother to dab little mothers milk on nippl and areola. Let it dry by
itself.
16. Teach mother to make baby belch :
carry baby on the small of the hip upright by lean on mothers shoulder and then clap babys back
slowly until baby belch ( if baby not belch wait 10-15 minutes) or lying baby flat in her lap.
