articles for the 08
th Edition of the Frank Talk Journal 20 Years of Democracy- Still Confronting Challenges to Nation Building. FrankTalk is an initiative of the Steve Biko Foundation that aims to advance public education about the Bill of Rights and other social issues by constructively engaging young professionals ages 25-40 in national discourse. FrankTalk consists of the following elements: A periodic Journal featuring contributions by topical experts and lay people; A dynamic internet platform that enables regular engagement with policy and current events as well as interaction among participants; A radio dialogue session that takes place before a live audience on a monthly basis. The topic the upcoming Frank Talk Journal is 20 Years of Democracy- Still Confronting Challenges to Nation Building. Submissions may focus on the 20 years of democracy in South Africa; but of particular interest are issues surrounding national challenges in economic, political and social contexts, and solutions to these. Papers can focus on, but are not limited to: The meaning of 20 years of democracy in South Africa The positive developments in South Africa since 1994 Voting and citizenship in post-apartheid South Africa Civilian protests and public unrest 20 years into democracy The challenges of socio-economic transformation in a post 1994 South Africa Solutions to socio-economic and political challenges in contemporary South Africa The meaning of nation building in a democratic South Africa Challenges to Nation Building in democratic South Africa Steve Bikos philosophies and their relevance in There are many platforms through which you can participate in FrankTalk, and if you feel you are not much of a writer please feel free to drop your comments on our Blog (http://sbfranktalk.blogspot.com/) ,Facebook(https://www.facebook.com/TheSteveBikoFoundation) or on our Twitter (https://twitter.com/BikoFoundation) platforms.
