You have about five minutes to talk about something you choose. Set a subject which you feel will focus the teachers minds and prepare it at home (See the BOX).
Practise your talk and monitor your strengths and weaknesses. Work carefully on pronunciation, and indeed on language as a whole.
A mirror will be useful so that you can observe your own lips and jaw position when articulating particular sounds.
Speak out loudly and clearly.
We will not interrupt your talking; however we will mark any pronunciation or language mistakes and will make general comments afterwards.
On the day of the exam, bring this guideline with you.
