Applications are invited for the following positions for the research Project entitled
Microbiological and biochemical studies on traditionally fermented rice-beer of North East
I ndia sponsored by DST, Govt. of India, New Delhi under Dr. Diganta Narzary as PI of the
project in the Department of Botany, Gauhati University, Guwahati-14 for a period of two years.

1. Project Assistant-1(one) post.
Qualification: M.Sc. in Botany/Biotechnology/Microbiology. Work experiences in
microbiology/molecular biology/bioinformatics will be preferred.
Emoluments: Rs. 12,000/- (consolidated)
Age Limit: Not more than 28 years


Application in plain paper stating Bio-Data with photocopies of all testimonials of candidates are
requested to submit to Dr. Diganta Narzary (PI) on or before 10-11-2014. No TA/DA is
admissible for appearing the interview which will be held on 13-11-2014 at 11 A.M. in the
Department of Botany, G.U. No separate communication will be made for the interview. All the
documents in original will have to be produced by the candidate at the time of interview.
