Holiday Greetings
The staff of the SDRC Library Service would like to wish you all a very safe and happy
holiday season.
The libraries will close for the Christmas break at 3.30 pm on Wednesday the 24th of
December, 2014 and will reopen on the 5th of January, 2015. The after-hours chutes
will be locked over the holidays, (however no items will fall due during this time.)

Library Access 24/7

Remember that you have access to the library catalogue 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week, including public holidays. The catalogue can be found at http://
spydus.southerndowns.qld.gov.au or by clicking on the library link on the Southern
Downs website. You can find the address on the back of your library card.
To log-in to your account, enter the barcode number
on your card, and the PIN which is the first four letters
of your surname in capital letters. Once logged in you
can browse the catalogue, place reservations and renew your own loans.

How to learn a language online

The library has a subscription to Transparent Languages Online. This service offers programs to learn over 80 languages at your own pace.
Go to the library catalogue or the library homepage on the SDRC website and click on
the Transparent Languages Online link.
Sign up with your library barcode, register your user name and password and follow
the prompts.
