frequencyemittedbythecarasitapproachesandthenmeasurethechangeinthatfrequencyas
thecarmovesoffintheotherdirection.Thedevicewillthensendtheinitialandfinal
frequenciestoitsmicroprocessor,andthenusethisdatatocomputethespeedofthevehicle.
Youarecurrentlyintheprocessofwritingaprogramforthechipinyournewdevice.To
completetheprogram,youneedaformulathatdeterminesthespeedofthecarusingthedata
receivedbythemicroprocessor.Youmayalsoincludeinyourformulaanyphysicalconstants

energydissipationinthecar'saxleorintheflexingofthespring,andthemassofthespring.
14. Rotations:Youhavebeenaskedtohelpdesignanautomatedsystemforapplyingaresistive
painttoplasticsheetinginordertomassproducecontainerstoprotectsensitiveelectronic
componentsfromstaticelectriccharges.Theobjectusedtoapplythepaintisasolidcylindrical
roller.Therollerispushedbackandforthovertheplasticsheetingbyahorizontalspring
