ORIGIN: Jonathan Jack Dalton was an ordinary guy from a working-class family. He and his twin brother
Tom worked in the same factory their father had worked in his whole life. Or at least they did until hard
times closed the factory and crippled the little town that had been built around it. Jack was able to find
work in a nearby plant, but Tom wasnt so lucky. With a young family to support, Tom got involved with the
wrong people and ended up driving the getaway car in a botched bank robbery. Knowing what would happen to
Tom and his family, Jack took the heat for his brother and left Tom free to replace him at the plant. Jack
expected to spend many years in prison, but an organization with ties to the government was looking for
volunteers to test a new medication, and something about Jacks genetics made him a perfect candidate.
Jack jumped at the chance to have his sentence reduced. However, just as he was being injected with a
massive dose of the strange serum, the hero Psidearm burst into the prison and stopped the experiment.
Formerly an operative of the same organization, Psidearm had learned that this shadow agency had long since
gone rogue and was pursuing its own nefarious agenda. What had been touted as a new medication was in fact
a serum designed to create enhanced soldiers by hybridizing a humans DNA with that of wolves and other
predatory animals. The serum had killed all prior test subjects, but Jack got lucky. His DNA accepted the
effects of the serum, and Jack Dalton became Darkwolf.
