GOOD BUYS

Clementines: Very nice


volumes with sweet, juicy
seedless fruit now coming
out of Morocco.

Raspberries, blackberries
and blueberries:

Brussels sprouts: Its not


often that we feature really
good prices on brussels
sprouts, just because they are
hard to source at bargain
prices. Now is the time to
feature this seasonal favorite!

Green cabbage: Eastern


growers are still the quality
source with excellent prices.

Butternut and spaghetti


squash: We are getting

Local apples: Excellent


quality and prices still on
hand for all varieties of local
apples. If you havent tried
Granny Smiths from Bear
Mountain, you are missing
out on a great example of
Eastern apples at their finest!

sprouts

Californias protected
production of raspberries is
still yielding nice berries,
making these red beauties
your best alternative to
strawberries this week.
Blackberries and blueberries
are steady.

squash but acorn production
is over locally. Shipping
from the west is driving
acorn prices higher.

Iceberg, romaine and


romaine hearts: Now that
production is firmly
established in the desert
regions of southern
California and Yuma, prices
are down.

Pears: All the luscious seasonal
pear varieties are here dressed up
to be included in your best dishes

out of hand. Dont forget to order
forelle, comice, red Anjou, boscs
or bartletts. We have them all!

Blood oranges: We just


received the first shipment of
California blood oranges and they
taste great. They are still on the
high side, though and they are a
little light in color.
