Prayer Requests
From Pastor Daniel: That God
would give me strength to
preach the Gospel without fear,
and that the Lord would open
my eyes and make me sensitive
to the needs of the
community and how I can
meet those needs.
For timely (and safely)
completed buildings.
For Pure Nard Preschool,
opening Jan. 2015! And
specifically for the new teachers,
their training, and the incoming
students.

Did you know?

Almost all children in Zambia
complete primary school, but less
than 40% pass their final exams in
secondary school and only 19%
of girls do so.

An Update on the Growing ICBC

With the last newsletter, we were just beginning construction,
and now, we have foundation for 4 structures and the walls are
almost up on the church and preschool! We are in the business of
aiming high around here and have set the goal to begin preschool
in January. We have also been busy making plans for a community
Christmas meal in the new church building. Its not quite
finished, but the walls will be up and we will mark the opening of
the church and the first ocial
service by celebrating the birth of
our Savior."

Hello Pastor Daniel!"

We have identified a resident pastor
for this first community project in
Mungu. We would like to
introduce you to Pastor Daniel
Tembo. He has already been a

Meet Moses
Moses has been participating in the
Teen Challenge program since
February 2014, but his journey with
addictions began in 2010. At just 22
years old he has been courageously
facing the demons of heroin
addiction and now senses the
freedom that comes with a clean
lifestyle. He will gladly share with you
how his heroin addiction drove bad
behavior and dissolving
relationships. Moses, at one point,
shared with me about how because
of his involvement in this program,
he is seeing a big change in his
family relationships. Trust is being
rebuilt and honest conversation is the
brick and mortar. For me, I think I
was most impacted by Moses
maturity and level of understanding
in his own healing process. He came
to the Teen Challenge center with a
plan to leave after only 3 months.
Nearly 11 months later, he sees that
the best thing he can do for himself
and his future is to complete the full
year in this program, Moses believes
that because of his willingness to
stay, his faith has developed to a new
maturity and depth. He also believes
his stay has given him additional
tools to maintain a clean and sober
lifestyle after he graduates. Please
pray for Moses as he begins to make
plans for his new, clean lifestyle after
Teen Challenge. With the charge of
developing new relationships and
navigating old ones with a fresh
perspective, plus making life
decisions for his future. graduation
can be intimidating!

blessing to us and the community in many

ways and over and over again, he proves his
faithfulness. Pastor Daniel has been working
with the ICBC community since September.
I asked him what he was most excited about
with this ministry and he shared how he is
really looking forward to building one-on-one relationships.
Wow we can see that already! He is out in the Mungu
community visiting homes, making friends and sharing the
Gospel! We are truly thankful for this man and would appreciate
your prayers for him as he begins to reach deeper into the
community and leading the church.beginning this Christmas!"

Goodbye Chivela "

While we are welcoming Pastor Dan,
we also must say goodbye to a dear
colleague and friend, Adriano Chivela.
You may remember from the last
newsletter that Chivela has been
volunteering with us at Teen
Challenge. The time has come for his
return to home in Angola. We are
thankful for his committed service!"

Update on the Sitali Family"
The rain has come, and for those
of you who have not experienced
Africas rainy seasons, it means
heavy rain everyday even
multiple times a day! Thanks to
generous giving of supporters, we
were able to help the Sitali family
stay dry this season. With a roof
overhead, they and their
belongings are protected, and
with school fees paid, their kids
have re-enrolled at school.
Thank you for helping us serve this
community, with your help we are
able to make a BIG impact.

This ministry is funded in part

by the faithful giving of
people like you. If you are
interested in making a
contribution to this work,
