WWF PRE-WRESTLEMANIA REPORT by CHRIS YETMAN
[Editor's Note: Chris's Live WrestleMania experience will be one of
the highlights of next week's issue. I'm also taking the time to
say that next week should be huge on ECW coverage again so you've
been OFFICIALLY WARNED of an abnormally large issue! :P]
Hi I am Chris Yettengile with your WrestleMania report (my
apologies) <g> . . . Well I just checked my camera and we rented the
car . . . This Saturday at 7 AM remember me as I depart for what
will hopefully be the big opening of the "Jim Ross Generation" in
the WWF . . . Just like all other WrestleManias we are going into
this one with a lot of questions. Owen's Partner, Pamela's Dress,
how many hours it will take for Fishbone to sing America the
Beautiful, and will Shawn win? Hopefully they all will be answered
. . . the Fan Fest session I am attending is the 7-10 session on
Saturday. Last year it was a blast. When you compare it to the year
before when I spent 2 hours in line at Caesar's Palace for
autographs and the shoved away, you really see the improvement.
Hopefully this year there will be more features at the Fan Fest.
So think of how I am enjoying myself in Beautiful<g> Hartford as you
are at the con next week. Especially you Laret <g>. I will have no
reports next week and I know I will be missed <G>. But 2 weeks from
know I shall return with a comprehensive report on Fanfest and
WrestleMania itself.

5th match- BACKLUND vs. BRET HART (I QUIT MATCH)
Winner: BRET HART
How: Cross-face chicken wing
gets pissed off, like when the WWF didn't reveal the Druids. Owen
Hart's partner is most likely to be Yokozuna. And when this happens
a lot of people are going to be pissed, and send a bunch of junk to
RSPW bitching that it was not Beniot. No one has any right to get
pissed, because never once did the WWF lead us on, (Like WCW with
Renegade). So the moral of the story is, don't send complaints about
Owen's partner to RSPW. Yes it would be nice if is Beniot, or anyone
besides Yoko. We all know that.
McMahon and Co. really need to be commended for the media circus
they stared with LT. Never before has a Wrestling event got so much
press, it is just awesome. WCW has got to be pissed.
The past week was a great week for interviews. Michaels kicked
it off with his on the Sunday Night Slam, then Regal and Eaton did
another great skit (one of the only things left in WCW), and then
Flair's Top Ten list. "Number nine, with me not around, people think
Alex Wright really can dance". That was classic from Flair. If you
missed WCW Sat., consider yourself lucky, but Flair's top ten
reasons why he should be reinstated was great. If anyone remembers
them could you send them to me.
Last I heard, Michaels was not going to win the title. I
personally feel this is a mistake. However, I think Big Daddy Cool
has come a long way, and he could carry the promotion (Not in
talent, but in a Hogan way). But I think it is time McMahon uses
Michaels as the Flair of the 90's. He can carry the promotion talent
wise, but I don't know if he could be a Hogan. Michael has worked
real hard to get himself in shape, any My respect for him has gone
up 1000000000000 times. After all this is the same guy, who just
last year wrestled when he wanted too, because he McMahon had to
give what he wanted, because he didn't want Shawn going to WCW.
McMahon has tried to many times to find a new Hogan, it's time for
a new angle, and it starts with the HB Kid Shawn Michaels.
FROM THE MIND OF THE MANIAC by "MANIAC" MIKE BLADE
NOTES FROM THE MAD DOG
Short notes from the MadDog this week as I'm still recovering
from that wonderful sinus infection. Thanks to all those who wrote
Jim Chamberlin, from what I understand he's still in the hospital
and get well messages can still be sent to RadioS1001@aol.com -take a minute and drop Jim a note -- he's a great guy and I can't
wait to have him back on the Ring Report.
In other staff news, Nick Willox, AKA our roving WWF SUPERSTARS
reporter, is taking a leave of absence due to lacrosse season. He'll
be back after his season is over and until then you'll have to put
up with MY merry coverage of WWF Superstars each week.
Special thanks go out to Kim Klien for cramming in a
WrestleMania report and I'll send out special Congrats to Bob Ryder
who joined those of us who are trying to get Wrestlers on-line by
hooking up the WWF with P* and getting Diesel and Shawn Michaels
on-line to chat with fans in cyberspace. It was almost as fun as
my Public Enemy chat session on Another On-Line service last month,
and a big step in the right direction for both wrestling and for
everyone in the on-line world!
It does the heart good to see that there are other people out
there working to bring wrestlers on-line. While some people are
hiding out on the Internet complaining about horrible the major
on-line services (AKA "glorified bulletin boards"), are and how
they're destroying the "very fabric" of the Internet others are
working in a positive fashion in order to benefit the on-line world.
With that I'm off . . .
