ISO film speed

The ISO film speed indicatesthe film's sensitivityto light. The higherthe
film speed, the more sensitivethe film is. Therefore,ISO 400 and higherspeed films are suitedfor low-lightconditions.The ISO film speed is set in
accordancewith standardsset by the InternationalOrganizationfor

A film speed from 6 to 6400 can be set with the camera. The film speed is
displayedon the LCD panel and in the viewfinder.

Depth of field
This is the range where acceptablefocus can be achieved in front of and
behindthe point of optimumfocus. The smallerthe aperture(the largerthe
f-number),the deeper the depth of field. And the larger the aperture (the
smallerthe f-number),the shallowerthe depth of field.
The depth of field is affected as described below:
(1) A smalleraperture(a largerf-number)increasesthe depth of field.
... For example,f/8 obtains a greater depth of field than t14.5.
(2) A lens with a shorter focal length increasesthe depth of field.
... A wide-anglelens obtainsa deeper depth of field than a telephotolens
at the same shootingdistance.
(3) A longer distance between the camera and subject increasesthe depth
of field.
(4) Generally, the depth of field behind the point of optimum focus is longer
than the depth of field in front of the point of optimum focus.
