I gotta, I gotta say, man, this is, uh, this’s been a good day so far [giggles]. Monty and I went and played a little Black
Jack. We’ve walked away with a little extra cash in our pockets. And now we have these big screens on either side, and I
feel like this is less a show and more like a, like a business meeting. Like, I’m here to tell you guys, the quarterly, like,
projections, or something. In the fourth quarter… [David gives a single giggle-grunt]. I feel like I could have gone further
with that, but, yeah, I don’t know anything else about business, so… I know there’s something about quarters and profit,
and that’s about it, so… But, man, thank you guys so much for coming out tonight. Man, there’s a ton of people in this
room! So. Well, thank you for flying all the way from Hawaii to come hang out with us. I appreciate that. So, we have,
we have this, uh, this vibe that we like to go for at every one of our shows and, and it basically involves a little bit of help
from you guys. So I need everybody to stand up for a second [David gestures with both hands to stand]. I need you to
turn around and look at your chair. Take you time. Everybody. I’ll wait. Now, I want you to keep looking at your chair,
and I want you to look down and I want you to go “chair, we’ve had some good times together. Those times are over.
We’re gonna stand up the rest of the night. We’re gonna make some noise [crowd cheers]. We’re gonna move around
and have a good time.” And if the chair puts up a fight, slap it.

Do I not make, do I not get to share the stage with some of the best band guys/musicians you’ve ever seen? [David
throws a pick at a very sweaty Kyle] Band guys… whatever that means. No, I’ve, uh, I’m very fortunate. You know, I get
to travel the country with, uh, with some of my best friends and make, make noise every night for a living. It’s pretty rad.
And, uh, the best part is, I’ve know these guys for a long time. In fact, I’ve known, uh, I’ve known Neal and Andy, and
Monty here, for almost 8 years, now. And, uh, they actually, they were, uh, they were a big part of, uh, of me actually
getting involved in being a solo musician. The first record I ever made on my own was a record called Analog Heart, back
in 2006. [crowd cheers]. Neal helped produce it, Monty played bass on it. Andy engineered it. And, uh, I can’t thank you
guys enough, ‘cause I think without that, I don’t know that I would have been on with this business… [Kyle is slowing
waving his arms around behind David and David turns to him] Kyle, uh, Kyle, you, uh, you play drums real good. OK?
So… [David shrugs his shoulders] keep it up. So this is a song from that record. This is a song called Straight Ahead.

Thank you, very much. So, it has been, uh, it’s been an eventful 24 hours for us. We actually played in, uh, Milwaukee,
Wisconsin last night. And then, uh, obvious tour routing would take us straight to here from there. So, we, uh, we got,
like, four hours of sleep and then hopped on a, hopped on a plane, and flew here to nearby San Francisco. [laughs]
Then drove here, just to hang out with you guys, you know? [crowd cheers] So I’m gonna, I’m gonna ask. I mean, are
you guys, are you happy? Are you having a good time? [crowd cheers] I will say, I thought it was amusing, I walk out
over here and, and, you know, comin' up this way [David motions along the right side of the venue], everyone’s like, “Oh
cool, that’s David, that’s David.” And then I get to the back [pointing straight to the back of the venue] relax back there,
just simmer, simmer [puts his hand up and shushes them with a downward motion] So I go back there and, like, some
people couldn’t see me comin’, I guess, ‘cause it was like, it was like [David looks around the mic and imitates an
audience member rockin’ out/singing along, and, realizing he’s right there, looking at him wide-eyed and mouth agape]
So, for a good 20 seconds, I thought I had, like, a booger on my face or something. And then I realized what had
happened… false alarm. I don’t th… [David takes the mic off the stand and walks toward the side of the stage,
presumable to a mirror off-stage] Hold on, let me double check. Can we get a spotlight here for a second? [David
motions for a spot on him at the side of the stage] I need to check. Ok. I’m good. No boogers on the face [walks back to
center stage, giving Monty a thumbs up]. No boogers on the face, Monty. No boogers on the face. So how many people

in this audience have the record? [crowd cheers] [pointing to someone in the audience] Sir, you don’t have to cross your
arms so emphatically, you know? I mean… [mimics crossing arms and then shrugs shoulders] [giggles] Well, then
everyone that has the record should know this song. It’s a song called Declaration. [During the opening chords, David
sees someone clapping along, points to them and begins clapping himself] You got it…

Goodness. So, uh, a little back story on this next song. We, we, uh, well, we, I mean me, I guess, but… We, I was, I was
on the Idol tour last year, and uh, [crowd screams] [David nodding slowly], uh, thanks for coming out, you know? [laughs]
But, uh, so we, uh, you know, we had a day off and, and, uh, so I met with, uh, with this guy, Zach Malloy. And a couple
guys, uh, who call themselves Espionage, from Europe and, uh, we sat down to try to write. And, uh, I don’t, I don’t know
why, but, uh, you know, ta... ta… we started talking about, like, song ideas and where songs would go and, and, and the
idea of a, of a song about [audience member screams “I love you, David”] I love you, too. That’s not part of the story,
though, everybody. I just want you to understand. Um, So we started talking about, like, how you get stuck in these bad
relationships sometimes. And how you stick with it because it’s convenient or it’s comfortable, and... And, uh, Lord
knows that’s happened to me, so that’s what this next song is about.

Played Lie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qnqTntM8MA

(missing beginning of banter)… love, or in relationships tonight. God, the ex must have been awful, dude, that was like
[David motions to someone in the crowd and then mimics his two emphatic thumbs down wile giving a raspberry] [laughs]
All right, so how many people in the audience at not in love? Are single, uhhh. [crowd screams – David points to
someone to his right] That guy’s holding onto his girl real tight, like “don’t you dare”. Well, this song is for the second
group. Just so everybody’s aware. Feel free to make some noise. You’re at a rock show.

Played Kiss on the Neck http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Lw7fzU0sDY

(May be missing prior banter) [crowd is wildly screaming] You guys don’t seem that gung ho about it. I mean, we can…
[David shrugs his shoulders]. [to Neal:] What do you think, man? I mean, are they.. do you think they’re ready for this?
[Crowd is screaming. Neal, with the cheesiest of grins on his face, gives a slow-moving thumbs down] No, no, no. no,
nuh, uh..[Neal changes back and forth from thumbs down to up and back again gauging the audience response, then
throws his head back in laughter and mouths “shush” to the other side of the stage] Sing along if you know it.

Please I Just Died in Your Arms Tonight http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6GqxHgWuRFE

So I told this story last night, but I figure we’re far enough away that I can probably tell it again, safely. [in a sing-songy
voice:] Regurgitate. Um, so I was, uh, it was a few weeks back and we had about a, we had, like, a week off. And, uh, so
I was gonna go to LA to start writing, uh, for another record. [crowd screams] It’s not done yet, just so ya know, so…
And, uh, I go, I go to LA and, and I immediately get sick. Uh, had a [crowd awwwws] Oh, I know, man. God. Pity, pity me.
Pity me. So, I, I I basically, I had to cancel everything I had. I had, like, this week of just nothing but sleep, which was
awesome. And, uh, YEAH! And, so the, the, the first doctor’s visit where they told me I was sick, I’m sittin’ in the room
and I’m like “God, this sucks. Like, what am I gonna do for a week? And, uh, he’s, my doctor comes in and he’s like
[David changes voices to imitate the doctor] “Uh, David, I have somebody I’d like you to meet.” And in walks Chris
Cornell. Yeah. For those of you that don’t know, Chris Cornell is the, uh, is the singer for Sound Garden and Audioslave,
and has a solo career. General, all-around bad-ass singer. So, um, so the, the, the connection I have with Chris is, uh,
Chris actually co-wrote, uh, the first single from our record. A song called Light On. [crowd screams] Yeah. Uh, which
recently went Platinum. Thank you for that. [crowd cheers] You guys are makin’ my house look, like, way cooler than
me, which is good. So, keep it up! Uh, and uh, so he comes in. Nicest guy in the world, and we get to talkin’ about the
song and he goes “you know, I originally wrote that for a solo album, and, uh, and then, you know, I heard your demo
version of it and, uh” he goes “no BS man, like, you’re the perfect, perfect person for that song. And, and, uh…” [crowd
cheers] I, I, I don’t know. I mean, Chris Cornell’s one of my, like, no pun intended, one of my idols. And, uh, [crowd
moans] Pllbbtt (Raspberries) Yeah, I know… anyway. And, uh, and so to have somebody of that caliber say something
like that, you know, it, it kind of makes you feel like you’re heading in the right direction. And, and, it’s things like that and

it’s things like all you people showing up tonight that, uh… Thank you, yeah, right? [crowd cheers] None of this matters
without people like you in our corner, so thank you very, very much. This is Light On.

INTERMISSION

Thank you, so much. [David pats his heart and claps for the crowd] [As Kyle begins playing:] But I need everyone to
move around, make some noise. Feel free to touch each other. This next song’s just about a little bit of love. Help me
count this song off… 1, 2, 3…

Thank you very much. Thank you to Table Mountain Casino for having us. Thank you for giving me some of your money
tonight. Give it up for our fantastic crew. [Kyle bangs the drums] Hold on. [to the band] You guys want to do that one
again? [Kyle starts a cymbal beat] Give it up for the crew one more time. OK [David shrugs] Give it up for these guys on
stage with me. They’re fantastic. And lastly, I mean every word I’ve said to you guys tonight. We don’t get to do anything
close to this cool without people like you coming out to support not only the records, but the tour, and everything. So,
guys, thank you so much. Give it up for yourselves. Feel free to do better than that if you want to. Make some more
noise for yourself… go. [David looks over his shoulder and points] That red light is ridiculously bright. I’m just saying that
it’s hot, and… [shrugs shoulders] [to Neal] It’s pretty bad, right? This is our current single. This is Come Back to Me.
Guys, thank you so much.
