Chhotu Ram State College of Engineering, Murthal Haryana Government
Institute was renamed as Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science
& Technology, Murthal on 30th October, 2006 by the Haryana
Government. The university is located in one of the popular industrial
belts of Haryana.
The university aims to provide quality education and create highly
competent engineers known for their knowledge, innovation, competence,
intellect and excellence in work. The institute promotes research in
various areas of science, engineering, technology and management. The
students are given in-depth hands-on-training to facilitate practical
approach to studies. The college offers an environment and opportunities
for overall development of its students.
FACILITIES/INFRASTRUCTURE
The university is divided into separate zones for academic, residential and
recreational activities. The buildings are eco-friendly and tastefully
designed. There is a shopping complex in the college premises which
includes canteen, ATM, departmental shop, book shop and milk booth.
There are separate residential areas for students and the faculty. The
hostels have been bifurcated for girls and boys, each with its separate
mess. There are facilities for cricket, football and table tennis. The
laboratories are well equipped and fully computerised.

The college has a well developed placement cell. There is a separate
website maintained for the students where all the job openings are
posted. Siemens Scholarship Program is awarded in the college that
provides monetary assistance to economically backward students and

COURSES OFFERED

degree is a 4 year program and is awarded in the fields of Electrical,
Electronics, Computers, Mechanical, Civil, Bio-Medical, Bio-technology,
Chemical and Architecture. The masters degree is a 2 year program and
is available in plethora of fields including Power Systems, Structural
Engineering, Civil Engineering, Sustainable Agriculture etc.
RANKING/ACHIEVEMENTS

The university is considered as top most in the state of Haryana and

Delhi-NCR for studies.
The university has been awarded with the Technical Education
Quality Improvement Programme Phase - II (TEQIP Phase-II) of the
World Bank Project.
