This high-quality classroom and practice summer program is run by professors of the University of Cologne
and close partners who are specialists working in the
environmental sector of the region North Rhine- Westphalia.
Who are we looking for?

first year in any discipline and strongly interested in
environmental issues, send your application, and demonstrate your curricular and extra-curricular activities
in this field.
As a participant of this program you will get both theoretical knowledge and a hands-on experience, focusing on three key sectors for sustainable cities. So, roll
up your sleeves, join the excursions, learn the advanced German public transportation sytem from the inside, experience Colognes urban green spaces with the
experts and see how solid waste can be sustainably
profitably managed.
The idea of the program is to understand and solve
environmental problems and research environmental
issues by fostering multidisciplinary and multi-national
education and thinking. As the global aspects of human actions and environmental problems such as the
sustainability of big cities become more important, we
exclusively invite students from our partner institutions
