Andaman Historical Adventure Tour

Duration : 4 Nights / 5 Days


Destinations Covered : Port Blair - Chidiya Tapu - Ross Island
Day - 1 Port Blair
Arrival at Port Blair in the morning & transfer to your respective hotel. In the
afternoon, at around 3.00 pm, we proceed for Harbour Cruise which will take
us to Viper Island amongst other. The gallows atop a hillock here is sight to
watch.
Day - 2 City Tour
After breakfast, we start off for a full-day tour in & around Port Blair - covering
Cellular Jail, Chatam Saw Mill (one of the oldest & largest in Asia), Forest
Museum, Mini Zoo, Anthropological Museum, Fisheries (Marine) Museum,
Gandhi Park, Samudrika, Cottage Industry Emporium and Andaman Water
Sports Complex (for water & adventure sports like water-skiing, speed boats,
water scooters, para-sailing, wind-surfing, etc.). In the evening, we attend the
enthralling Sound and Light Show at Cellular Jail - where the heroic saga of the
Indian freedom struggle is brought alive.
Day - 3 Andamans
We start off after breakfast, for Mt. Harriet - 2nd highest peak (365 meters high)
in the Andamans. In the Afternoon, we visit Chidiya Tapu - about 26 kms from
Port Blair. Its generally known as bird island. Lush green mangroves and
beautiful beach with breath-taking sunset, creates a mesmerizing environment.
Day - 4 Ross Island - Corbyns Cove Beach
In the morning, after breakfast, we go to Ross Island - from where the Britishers
governed this entire A&N lslands, prior to Indias Independence. In the
Afternoon, we visit the Corbyns Cove Beach - 7 kms from Port Blair - a coconut
palm fringed beach, ideal for swimming, sun-basking, bathing, snorkeling,
scuba diving, etc.
Day - 5 Back to Home
Departure transfer to Airport/Sea Port for return flight/voyage to /Chennai

Andaman & Nicobar Itinerary (6 NIGHT / 7 DAYS)


DAY 1
Transfere to Airport to Hotel and some time free for yourself and after that in
noon go for side seen for Cellular Jail : Built over 12 years from 1896 to 1908
and home to hundreds of freedom fighters whose name are now engraved on
the walls of its watch tower, the Cellular Jail stands as symbol of colonial
oppression cruelty and untold sufferings. Situated in the north east corner of
Port Blair, it is a national memorial after that go for Light And Sound Show :
The saga of the heroic freedom struggle is brought alive in a moving light and
sound show, held daily inside the cellular jail compound.
DAY 2
Visit Ross Island, City to Carbyns Cove Beach Ross Island : The erstswhile
capital of Andamans during the British regime, this tiny Island presently
houses the ruins of the bygone days.

DAY 3
Visit Havelock Island by inter-island ferry, this island is about 57kms by sea
from Port Blair. Spend the night on the sandy beaches in tents under the star
lit sky, surrounded by the lush green forest. You have the option of staying in a
tourist home as well .return Portblair on next day.
DAY4
Nest day come back at port Blair and after breakfast go for the Coral Island or
Jolly Buoy or Red Skin Island by boat. Enjoy the green surroundings enroute.
The clear waters of these islands are also ideal for snorkeling and scuba diving.
Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY5
The highest hill around South Andaman (365m), lying on the other side of Ross
Island, provides an excellent view of the Port Blair City. Evening free for your
own shoping.Overnight stay in hotel.
DAY 6
After breakfast gor for sideseen of. Chidiyatapu : 25 kms by road from Port
Blair, this is the southern most tip of South Andaman island. It is generally

known as the bird island. Lush green mangroves and beautiful beach with
breath-taking sunset-helps in creating a mesmerizing environment over here.
Overnight stray at hotel.
DAY7
After breakfast pick up from the hotel and drop at airport .

Places to visit in Andaman and Nicobar


Samudrika Naval Maritime Museum
This museum has complete collection of different shells and corals found in the
Andaman and Nicobar islands
Cellular Jail
Tours of this historic prison where the British jailed freedom fighters, seeking to
liberate India, are a journey back into colonial times. The Jail is now dedicated
to the nation as a National Memorial
Chirya tapoo
If you travel 35 Km south of Port Blair you will find this island, also known as
Bird Island, which has a Bird Sanctuary.
Corbyn's Cove
Is a coconut-palm crescent shaped beach ideal for swimming, sun basking and
surfing.
Ross Island
On a tour of this island you can find the remains of old British buildings that
date back to the days of colonial rule in India.
Mount Harriet
The highest hill around South Andaman (365m), lying on the other side of Ross
Island, provides an excellent view of the Port Blair City.
Mini Zoo at Port Blair
When you tour this zoo you will see rare species like Nicobar Pigeon, Andaman
Pig. The zoo provides with favorable breeding ground for the Crocodiles, which
are bred through Saltwater Crocodile Breeding Programme.
Neil Island
A long shallow beach basically used for timbering operations.
Chatam Island
It is the center of activity of the Forest Department. It has perhaps the biggest
Saw Mill of its kind in Asia.
Viper Island
Has derived its name because of the presence of Viper snakes in the past. It was
once a full-fledged jail but was abandoned after the establishment of Cellular
Jail
Kondul
Is a small island to the north of Great Nicobar and is known for good canoes
Katchal
Is the most developed island with the majority of the population as Scheduled
Tribe. The soil is most suitable for Rubber Plantation.
Pullomillor
An extremely beautiful island known for copra and betel nuts
Madhuban
When you travel 15 kms from Port Blair, and reach a place with a sea beach in
front and hills behind, you will be in Madhuban - used as a training ground for
elephants by rangers
