PROJECT CONTEXT
The universe consists mainly of stars and clouds of
dust and gas. Constellations also called star pictures are
only part of this vast universe that living things live in.
It is a group of stars representing some religious or
mythological personage, animal or object of ancient times,
or a common object or instrument of scientific interest in
modern times.
Students usually bragged books whenever this is tackled
in schools, but nowadays informations are usually located
on the internet that can be accessed by computers.
Constellations are part of the study in elementary students
specifically in grade six and this was also been integrated
in high school especially in grade seven under the field of
general science specifically in astronomy.
The proposed application will help the students view
interactively the stars that are being clustered and labeled
or also known as constellations. It will serve also as a
star map or a star guide in order to locate properly the
stars that build up a constellation. Most information will
be limited based on the researchers findings about most
constellations. Users can amuse themselves with a special
feature that they can interactively connect the stars and
form constellations. This benefits everyone who loves to
stargaze and at the same time they can learn the positions
of the stars or constellations they want.
PROBLEM IDENTIFICATION
This study aims to develop
entitled Mobile Planetarium and
following questions:
1.)

a mobile
sought to

application
answer the

What are the problems encountered by the students

with the present process used?

2.)
3.)

What features should be added in the application

based on the information gathered?
What would be the benefits and advantages of the
information and features of the system to the user?

OBJECTIVES
The primary goals for this system are:
1.)

2.)

3.)

To propose a better application that will help solve

the problems that is being encountered by the
students.
To provide an added feature that may aid in the
easiest way possible that will make a clear picture
of the constellations and it will also serve as a
star map.
To be able to provide an efficient way to learn the
facts about the constellations and its locations.
