"Hangad" is the Filipino word for "yearning" or "desire." And

Hangad is a group of friends, young professionals bound by our
shared desire of knowing God, and helping others know
God, through song.
From a handful of boys from Ateneo High School in the Philippines
who gathered to sing for Days With The Lord retreats in 1991, we are
now a family of over 80 individuals from various schools and in
diverse fields.
Over the past 19 years, we have recorded seven albums and
produced four music videos under the Jesuit Communications
Foundation; shared our liturgical and inspirational music in Masses,
weddings, concerts, choir workshops, and other events; while
undergoing our own spiritual formation activities, towards
ceaselessly fueling, deepening, and spreading our pagha-Hangad.
Walang Ibang Hangad (no other desire) is our third Biyaheng
Hangad (desired journey, which we have named our US concert
series), and another chapter in our mission of making our desire
known to as many people as we can.

THE BIYAHENG HANGAD 2010 CAST

ELAINE ALIGA-RICAFORT (soprano, Hangad since 2002) is an interior
designer, working alongside her husband, Arch. Paul Ricafort, in their firm
Ricafort Aliga A&ID. She and Paul are expecting their first child in April 2011.
This is Elaines second Biyaheng Hangad.
MARIEL DE JESUS (soprano, Hangad since 1994) works in Ayala Foundation,
sings with Hangad whenever she can, and recently launched another
career...as a Jazzercise instructor! This is Mariels third Biyaheng Hangad.
MEECHEE RICOHERMOSO (soprano, Hangad since 2006) is married to
Hangad member Louis, She works for Unilab, is a certified scuba diver, and is
very fond of ice cream. This is her second Biyaheng Hangad.
CLARE ROYANDOYAN (soprano, Hangad since 2002) graduated AB
Psychology from Miriam College and is currently HR Officer of Lettered L
Food Services Inc. This is Clares third Biyaheng Hangad.
MJ FRANCIA (alto, Hangad since 2000) graduated BS Management
Information Systems from Ateneo de Manila University and is now a Senior IT
Consultant for Indra Philippines. This is her second Biyaheng Hangad.
JEANIE TOLENTINO (alto, Hangad since 2001) graduated AB Psychology from
Ateneo De Manila University. She is a Sun Life financial adviser while studying
Music Education at the University of the Philippines. She dreams of
becoming a music therapist. This is her first Biyaheng Hangad.
PRIME ASPRER (tenor, Hangad since 2004) has a degree in AB Mgt
Economics from Ateneo de Manila University, and is currently a Sales
Manager for L'Oreal Philippines. This is his third Biyaheng Hangad. Prime hails
from the City of Flowers... Zamboanga! Gracias!
PAULO TIROL (tenor, keyboards, Hangad since 1995) is a marketing manager
at Procter & Gamble by profession, and a musician by passion. He is thrilled
to be joining his first Biyaheng Hangad.
DOMI ESPEJO (bass, Hangad since 2004) works at ABS-CBN, and has also
been a stage actor since college at Ateneo de Manila University, with
occasional acting stints even today. This is his third Biyaheng Hangad.
MIGS JIMENEZ (bass, Hangad since 2003) graduated BS Psychology from
Ateneo de Manila University. He is an HR Director at Globe Telecom, and a
life-enjoyer outside of work. This is his second Biyaheng Hangad.
LOUIS RICOHERMOSO (bass, Hangad since 2000) is Hangads resident tech
geek, into gadgets, photography, and programming. He and wife Hangad
member Meechee, love good food. This is his second Biyaheng Hangad.
