Submachine Gun MP5 SD Calibre 9 mm X 19 The MP5 SD is a further development of the proven MP5 Submachine gun. It is a weapon with silencer, designed to meet today’s special tactical require- ments. From closed bolt position, the MP5 SD permits firing of single shots and bursts out of all shooting positions. For this reason there is no bullet report. The subsonic velocity results from reduced gas pressure. Gas pressure reduction is achieved by vent holes in the barrel through which the powder gases are de- viated in the silencer and become ineffective. The unavoidable muzzle blast is considerably re- duced. Using the weapon Handling and operating as well as the sequence of disassembly of the MP5 SD correspond in all phases to those of the standard submachine gun. Unhinge handguard on one side of the barrel jacket, turn slightly and pull off downward. For cleaning of barrel unscrew silencer. Do not use any oily cleaning agents when cleaning the silencer.Re-assembly of the MP5 SD is carried out in reverse sequence to that of disassembly.
