Just a Click Away
Do you remember those days?
The encyclopaedias, dictionary, newspapers and books,
How not knowing then leads to complete disarray,
Of spending hours and hours till youre off the hook.
Let us cherish today,
Where everything is just a click away,
From local news to foreign forays,
Of texts and informative displays,
No more panic, no more dismay
As everything is just a click away.

There are around 500 Malayan tigers living in the peninsular of Thailand and
Malaysia.
The Malayan tiger, along with the Sumatran tiger, is perhaps the
mainly due to low prey numbers. The majority of this subspecies' habitats are
found in four Malaysian states: Pahang, Perak, Terengganu, and Kelantan. They
are known to prey on deer, wild boar and sun bear.
This species is threatened by human-wildlife conflict and loss of habitat due to
forest conversion for agriculture and development. Logging operations and
10
development of roads pose a big threat to tiger habitat in the Taman Negara.
Moreover, conversion of forests to agriculture or commercial plantations has
resulted in more frequent encounters between tigers and livestock. In retaliation,
tigers are often killed by authorities or angry villagers, or else captured and put in
zoos. Tigers killed as conflict animals often end up sold on the black market,
creating a link between human-tiger conflict and poaching.
16) Based on the information from the text, where does the Malayan tiger can be
easily found?
A. Abandoned agricultural land and secondary vegetation.
B. Areas of low human density in Thailand and Malaysia.
C. Forests in peninsular of Thailand and Malaysia.
D. Tiger habitats in the Taman Negara.
17) What is the main cause for lower density of Malayan tigers in Malaysia?
A. Increasing density of human and road.
