Q #1: Name any 5 your favorite TVC and why they are your favorite ads?
1- Company: Honda
Ad: The Power of Dreams
This commercial beautifully describes the core principles on which the company works
on CURIOSITY and THE POWER TO DREAM. Due to the curiosity to learn and
innovate new products, the company has built products in various categories from
motorcycles to cars, from boats to airplanes, from robots to automatic lawn mowers.
2- Company: Unilever Dove
Ad: Dove Real Beauty Sketches | Youre more beautiful than you think
The Ad shows how a certain group of women describe themselves to a sketch artist and
then a few strangers describe the same group of women to the sketch artist. The group of
women are later showed both the sketches and are shocked to see how differently they
look through a strangers eyes. This ad was a part of the campaign by dove promoting
real beauty in women.
3- Company: Jaguar
Ad: Jaguar Its Good To Be Bad
The Jaguar is a British car manufacturer and in this ad for their new sports car named FType R they depicted the villains of Hollywood movies along with Jaguar F Type R.
This Ad is one of the series of ads used in the campaign ITS GOOD TO BE BAD to
promote their new sports car. The ad tells about the features of the car in a hidden way by
narrating what makes the villains who they are.

4- Company: Coca-Cola
Ad: Coca-Cola Hello Happiness
The Ad is a part of the campaign HELLO HAPPINESS, which aimed at helping
thousands of South Asian laborers to connect with their families in their respective
countries.
5- Company: Coca-Cola
Ad: Coca-Cola Wish Booth #WishUponACoke
The Ad is a part of the campaign to help the South Asian laborers working in Dubai. The
ad shows the Wish Booth that was made by Coke and placed in certain areas of Dubai,
the people would walk into it and record their wishes and later on the Coke team would
work to fulfill these wishes for them.

preferences? (Product related)
My five basic needs are as follow: Food, Water, Cloth, Air and Shelter and my want is to have
healthy food, pure water, branded clothes, fresh air, and safe and sound place to live and my
preference according to that to have quality food from Hardees, pure water of Nestle, clothes
from Zara and house to live in CANTT or DHA.

The brands and their specific products have responsive market system and the reason behind it is
that they are not just delivering attributes to their customers but also delivering experience and
instead of doing transactional selling they are building strong long term relationships with
customers by providing after sale service these efforts developed positive word of mouth and
strong brand image in the mind of the consumer.

The products have been marketed by various marketing campaigns tailored based on various
factors such as products nature, perspective buyer, or purchasing powers. Each product/brand
has developed its own special personality for example Walls Deserts marketing campaign
focuses on the Sharing happiness because of which now buyer associates Happiness with Ice
Cream. Similarly Broke Bond Supreme, marketing campaigns depict the strong family values
that are the core of our culture and relates it to the tradition/ need of consuming tea.

What role does marketing play in promoting these products?


Given the never ending and increasing competition in the markets and companies spreading
globally, marketing is the key factor for any companys success or failure to sustain in the
market. With alternates or substitutes of almost all products being available in the market,
marketing strategies help the products land into the customers baskets. And without marketing

efforts there is a high probability that a customer would not know about the product thus would
not purchase it.
