Abstract
The goal of this document is to outline the steps by which the WebSphere Portal System
Verification Test (SVT) installed, configured, and tested production configurations
making up the 'Integrating SharePoint and NetWeaver using WAB in WebSphere Portal'
environment on WebSphere Portal version 8. This document will also document the
steps in setting up the configuration as well as the test procedure performed in the
environment.
Integrating SharePoint and NetWeaver using WAB Introduction
The environment consisted of :
Infrastructure to support the WebSphere Portal cluster
backends SharePoint and NetWeaver to be integrated
horizontal static WebSphere Portal cluster
The software versions used in this test environment are as follows:

install WebSphere Portal Enable binary on the additional Node

configure federated security with MS Active Directory

Tune all Portal servers based on the suggested settings
configure WAB
creat Virtual Web Application Manager Application Components
create Pages with full profile, give permission for privileged user, add Web Dock portlet
configure Web Dock portlet instances to point to SharePoint and Netweaver
give permission for privileged user for Web Dock Portlet
use RPT to personalize each user for the Web Dock Portlet instances

5 Test / User Configuration


The following tests were conducted using IBM Rational Performance Tester Version: 8.2.1, to
simulate the multiple users performing their various tasks over a specific period of time.

There are 2 User Groups.


1. SharePoint Users
2. NetWeaver Users
which perform the following steps:
SharePoint Users
Log in
Go to the SharePoint home page
Go to the Team Site
Go to the Announcment List
Go to an Announcment
Log out.
NetWeaver Users
Log in
Go to the configured NetWeaver Universal Worklist page
Click the SAPoffice Mails Tab
Log out.

Reliability Test Configurations


For the reliability tests, virtual users with a 12 second think time executed over 48 hours were run. The
total number of users was gradually ramped up until the total number of users ran on average 50% CPU
on the production cluster. The number of users where 110.
