Yellow Jacket Compose weekly campus and region stories as part of


and award-winning student newspaper, recognized by the Society of
Professional Journalists and American Scholastic Press Association as one of
the regions best. Execute planned interviews with local and regional leaders,
including Waynesburg Universitys President and Provost, along with State
Representatives and Senators.
Greene County Messenger Freelance for local weekly publication, including an
above-the-fold story.
WMBS Radio Broadcast 8-10 minute newscasts twice an hour as a part-time
anchor for the local station WMBS Radio. Assemble 5 local news and sports
stories, along with 10 state news stories. Collect local and national sports scores
and lottery numbers. All copy for news, sports and weather is self-produced.
WMBS & Westmoreland Sports Network Conduct spot interviews with local leaders,
athletes and coaches.

WMBS Radio Produce award-nominated cooking show by screening calls,


operating the board and assisting with cooking. Also manage board and gather
sports information, stats and scores for a weekly two-hour sports show.

Upload 40 articles to website on a weekly basis. Coordinte staff of 5 to cover live,
local and campus events by live tweeting, instagraming photos and gathering
video for online packages.

Sports Broadcasting 59 total broadcasts to date

Westmoreland Sports Network Announce weekly high school sporting events for
all teams in Westmoreland County. Main associate broadcaster for quad A Penn
Trafford football. Broadcast for 11 schools ranging from quad A to single A for
high school basketball. (21 total broadcasts, 16 football, 3 basketball)
Waynesburg University Sports Network Broadcast Waynesburg football and
basketball as an announcer for the Waynesburg University Sports Network.
Became networks second ever underclassman announcer in 2014. Named lead
basketaball pregame show host as a freshman. (8 total broadcasts: 3 football, 13
basketball)
WCYJ-FM Student-Radio Station Broadcast football, basketball, and baseball for
Waynesburgs student-run radio station. Announced two baseball playoff games
and 1 basketball tournament game. (19 broadcasts: 10 baseball, 2 softball 2
football, 5 basketball)
All Broadcasts Devoted 6-12 hours of prep time to each broadcast; gather stats and
rosters, contact coaches and develop hand-prepared spotter boards

Leadership & Responsibilities

Bonner Scholar Oversee and coordinate 15 volunteers to tutor and mentor 40


children in the local community.
Eagle Scout Organzied and directed 40 scouts in 30 community service projects.
Coordinated 280 hours of work on a local church fellowshiip area for Eagle project.
