Nepal

earthquake:

Damaged

historic sites reopened

Nepal has reopened many of the
heritage sites in the Kathmandu
valley to the public, in a bid to
attract
tourists
after
April's
devastating earthquake.
Among them was Kathmandu's
historic Durbar Square or "noble
court", which was badly damaged.
Unesco has raised some concerns
over the safety of reopening the
sites. But media reports quote
officials as saying the necessary
measures are in place.
Six of the seven Unesco-designated
World Heritage sites closed after the
earthquakes were reopened on
Monday, Tourism Minister Kripasur
Sherpa told AP.

Shortly after the quake, Unesco's

director-general
Irina
Bokova
described damage to the Kathmandu
valley
as
"extensive
and
irreversible". It sent a team to assess
the damage and is continuing to
monitor the situation.
On 11 June Unesco issued a
statement asking the public to be
extra cautious at the sites.

United already have

replacement: Cillessen

De

Gea's

Manchester
United
have
already
found
their
replacement for David de Gea. Jasper Cillesen, who was
Hollands regular goalkeeper under Louis Van Gaal, is
close to completing his move to Old Trafford and could
be unveiled this week according to The Telegraph. In
the list of candidates to replace David de Gea drawn up
by goalkeeping coach Frans Hoek, the Ajax goalkeeper
is top.
Cillessen, 26, has played 43 times this season and has
conceded 38 goals. His arrival could speed up the

departure of De Gea to Madrid, who has still not

renewed his contract at Old Trafford and who would
leave for nothing next June when his deal ends. United
have also sounded out Atltico Madrid goalkeeper Jan
Oblak in recent weeks.

Jurassic World earns over half a billion worldwide in biggest opening weekend ever

Jurassic World has turned into quite the blockbuster hit.

The film has crushed industry estimates, and has raked
in a record $511.8 million globally, making it the first to
ever break half a billion dollars over its opening
weekend.
Any way you measure it, then, Universal's fourth entry
in the dinosaur franchise is a massive box office
success. But it could do even better: studios release
their estimates on Sunday morning and then make final
adjustments on Monday once the final numbers are in.
'JURASSIC WORLD' COULD BEAT 'THE AVENGERS' FOR
BIGGEST DOMESTIC OPENING EVER
The movie, of course, marks yet another massive hit
starring Chris Pratt. Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy
turned Pratt into a star, and last year also saw the
massive success of The Lego Movie. Don't be surprised
if you see Pratt in more major blockbusters over the
next few years.
The gigantic box office numbers give Universal two
huge hits this year, in the form of Furious 7 and Jurassic

World. If the studio manages to take the record for

largest weekend opening away from The Avengers, you
can be sure Disney will be looking to take back the
crown this December with Star Wars: The Force
Awakens.
