A. Facts
Based on our observations, the management and tourists are
disrespecting the rules of Manila zoo.
Management
Lack of personnel inside the main zoo.
Not entertaining studies related to Manila Zoo
Lack of enthusiasm in managing the zoo.
Tourist
Lack of discipline
Disobeying zoo rules which the management didnt impose on
the first place.
B. Stakeholders
We cannot give the stakeholders of the Manila zoo because Manila
zoo ignoring our request for the interview.
C. Articulation of the Dilemma
The problem is that there is no such thing as well conducive
artificial environment for the animals like zoos but as we stated
earlier there are many zoos already in existence. The biggest
problem we could possibly solve is how a zoo should be manage to
have a conducive environment close to natural environment of the
animals.
Problems that arise from the management of a zoo directly affect
the zoo itself. So to solve ethical issues is to have a systematic
management that will help the animals inside the zoo. This includes
the management of the zoo, the proper allocation of food for each
animals and the proper electing of employees.

D. Alternatives

Close down the zoo.

We thought of closing the zoo because if the management
cannot maintain the zoo we think that they should just
close it instead of letting the zoo mismanage.
But as we thought of closing the Manila zoo
o What will happen to the animals?
o Where will they stay?
o All the employees will lose their jobs.

Change the management or increase the number of

employees, the employees should undergo trainings, We
conclude that Manila zoo is mismanage because they dont
have enough funds, so if the Manila zoo will increase the
number of employees the problem will be the salary for the
employees.

Penalty to those who will be caught littering and hurting the

animals to make it effective the Manila zoo should implement
rules and regulations for this, we observe that manila zoo
dont have penalty for those tourist violating the Manila zoo
concerning with the rules, and of course to make it efficient
Manila zoo should have enough employees to observe those
people who will violating the rules and regulations. Even
though have enough signage concerning for their rules and
regulations there are some people who ignores or violates the
signage.

Increase entrance fee

We thought of this alternative because we think that the
government fund and admission fee is not enough to cover
the expenses of Manila zoo. Even though the Manila zoo
increase their admission fee earlier of the year 2015, manila
zoo still have the cheapest admission fee in zoo of the
Philippines the problem of this is that the tourist will be lessen
same with the funds because the admission fee will decrease.

Fund raising

The management of Manila zoo should implement fund raising

we think that many people would help especially those people
who love animals.
