Topic 2: SEED is Life

Psalm 126:4-6 NIV

[4] Restore our fortunes, O Lord, like streams in the Negev. [5] Those who sow in tears will reap
with songs of joy. [6] He who goes out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of
joy, carrying sheaves with him.
Introduction

- Tell the story of Dr. Seus The Lorax. How Once-Ler, able to find His destiny, his
calling, his success but forgot the most important of all - Concern for environment that
will gives life to others

- The famous quotation from this story...

"UNLESS someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. Its
not. - The Lorax
- What strikes me best is there is hope
"If someone would only care to plant the seed"

- Bakit kahit nakuha mo na yong dream job mo, or maganda naman na yong career mo parang
something is not right.

- You feel dry! Parang me kulang, parang laging hirap ang buhay, parang laging me problema
parang walang breakthrough.

- Dumarating ka sa point na super stress na ng buhay. Wala nang buhay, kahit your christian
life parang dry na rin.

- Psalms 126:4-6 gave us principle of how our life flourish agin and become more productive
and fruitful.

[4] Restore our fortunes, O Lord, like streams in the Negev. [5] Those who sow in tears will reap
with songs of joy. [6] He who goes out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of
joy, carrying sheaves with him.
If we cry out for the will of God and invest on it then we will have true success.

- The story behind this psalm happens during the time when Ezra and some of the Israelites
goes back to the land of Israel after they were brought to the Babylon and became a slave.

- The land was wasted, the temple was ruin, the wall is broken down.
- The Psalmist knew how God prospered them and how they become a great nation, also how
they disobeyed and rebelled against God. How they were judge and discipline by God.

- Now they're back to the promised and asking asking God "Restore our fortunes, o Lord".
- Naramdaman mo na ba na parang hindi na katulad ng dati nong bago kang Christian, you are
so on fire and parang lahat ng promises ni Lord sa iyo nagyayari?

- Or alam mo na kung ano yong promises and plans ni Lord sa iyo pero parang hindi
nagyayari?

- Or Now you want see your life will flourished again in all aspect.
- Note to the speaker : tell your own story of time when you are so on fire for God, experiencing
his fullness and the time na nawala yon how you become dry, and the desire to go back to his
will, plans, purpose and his presence.

- Psalm 126 give us this principle of going how to have life that is fruitful and productive.
Number 1. Pray hard - cry out to God until he will fill your heart with His living water.

- The first problem is about the dryness of the land. Kahit anong tanim mo kung tuyo naman ito
kahit anong itanim mo hindi ito mabubuhay.

- The only way is to wet the ground.

- Naramdaman mo na ba na dry ang heart mo? Na kahit umaatend ka ng church, nakikinig ka

ng word, nagbabasa ka ng bible, nag lalife grou ka, pero parang walang impact yong word sa
iyo? Kasi dry yong heart mo.

- Nagiiyakan na lahat, pero ikaw parang wala lang. Lahat ezcited na to obey pero ikaw parang
okay lang kahit hindi gawin? Kasi dry ang heart mo.

Because nothing will grow in a dry heart!

- A dry heart is someone who does not heed the word of God and no desire to obey it, or no
passion to fulfill God plan for his life!

- The only way to make your heart healthy and wet is to cry out to God for his spirit to change
your heart and fill it with His presence.

- Have you ever prayed that God will change your heart!? Or have you ever pray hard when
your heart is hard?

- The problem is kung kailan matigas at tuyo ang puso natin doon tayo lalong hindi nagprapray.
- The signs of a dry heart are when it is okay not to obey God words, its okay not fulfill God
plan for your life, it is okay not share the gospel and disciple people. Okay lang umattend at
umuwi na latulad ka pa rin nung dumating ka rito.

- So if you want a healthy heart, a heart that is ready that will produce life and wet is pray
hard! Cry out loud that God will brake your heart and filled with his Living water.
Number 2: PLANT YOUR SEED - Participate in building His temple
"carrying seed to sow"

- Remember Psalms 126 was written during the time of Ezra when they returned to Jerusalem
and they are rebuilding the temple.

- During that time Prophet Haggai is giving them a message from the Lord. This is the message
of God through prophet Haggai..

Haggai 1:5-11 NIV

[5] Now this is what the Lord Almighty says: "Give careful thought to your ways. [6] You have
planted much, but have harvested little. You eat, but never have enough. You drink, but never
have your fill. You put on clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages, only to put them in a purse
with holes in it." [7] This is what the Lord Almighty says: "Give careful thought to your ways. [8]
Go up into the mountains and bring down timber and build the house, so that I may take
pleasure in it and be honored, " says the Lord. [9] "You expected much, but see, it turned out to
be little. What you brought home, I blew away. Why?" declares the Lord Almighty. "Because of
my house, which remains a ruin, while each of you is busy with his own house. [10]
Therefore, because of you the heavens have withheld their dew and the earth its crops. [11] I
called for a drought on the fields and the mountains, on the grain, the new wine, the oil and
whatever the ground produces, on men and cattle, and on the labor of your hands. "

- see how the Israelites where doing their best to have a successful life! Pero kahit anong
gawin nila unproductive pa rin sila.

- They are so busy planting but harvest so little, they ate and drink and yet still hungry and
thirsty. They invest sa mga business nila pero walang tubo. Break even lang.

- Maganda nga ang damit nila, maganda nga ang bahay nila pero kulang pa rin. Laki ng
suweldo pero ang daling maubos. Why?
Because of my house, which remains a ruin, while each of you is busy with his own
house.

- During that time God wanted His house to be rebuild, but they are so busy building their own
house.

- God wanted the Israelites supply the materials they need to rebuild the temple and food to
supply the needs of the workers and the priest but they are not willing to give and participate.

- Kaya God rebuke them and they all give to the Lord and rebuilding God temple...
Ezra 3:7 NIV
[7] Then they gave money to the masons and carpenters, and gave food and drink and oil to the
people of Sidon and Tyre, so that they would bring cedar logs by sea from Lebanon to Joppa, as
authorized by Cyrus king of Persia.
Ezra 6:14 NIV
[14] So the elders of the Jews continued to build and prosper under the preaching of Haggai the
prophet and Zechariah, a descendant of Iddo. They finished building the temple according to the
command of the God of Israel and the decrees of Cyrus, Darius and Artaxerxes, kings of Persia.

- What God revealed in his word is this..

Your success in life is always connected to the success of your church!

- Napansin ko lang sa Story ng Israel is this when the temple is functioning well and well
provided God always blessed the nation of Israel.

- Kaya nga sa Malachi Nagalit ang Diyos kasi pinabayaan nila ang temple and they are not
provising the needs of the temple and the priest! Kaya naman sila ay under ng cursed.
If you plant your seed to the church you will surely have a great harvest!
Planting the seed means, Participate by
1. faithfully giving your tithes and offering.
2. Participating in fulfilling the great commission

- Di niyo ba napansin na yong mga talagang nabe bless dito at nagiging succesful ay yong
mga faithful mag tanim sa church? Those who are faithful in their tithes and offering.

- Sino ba ang nag gogrow and nagmamatured agad spiritually? Di ba yong mga nag wiwin and
and nagdidisciple.

- Wala pa akong nakitang nag grow and naging productive and fruitfull ang buhay na hind
naman faithful magbigay and di naman nagwiwin and nagdidisciple.

- Note sa speaker : Tell your own story, or look for someone you know na ginawa ito and their
life is really productive and fruitful.

- Katulad ng Israel they wanted to have a life according to the promises of God. They want a
productive and fruitful again

- They want to go back sa first love nila, they want to experience God again in their life.
- They want their life again to be filled with living water and this living water will overflow into
their lives.

- How? Pray hard! and Plant your seed! Participate in the vision of this church in
fulfilling the great commission.

- Kaya this time we will concentrate in two things for this church to grow and build a
tempe of God!

- First we will pray hard! Every worship service we will devote time to pray! We will

cry out kahit dry ang heart natin, until God will flow his living water on us para lahat
tayo will have a healthy heart that will produce fruits!
- Second we will challenge and make sure everyone will participate in building
and growing this church.

- How? One, Every one must win and Disciple. Lahat dapat tayo me nawin and me
andrew!

- Two, we will continuously challenge everyone to be faithful in giving their tithes and

offering. Make sure that before you spend your salary you already given your tithes
and offering.

- This time hindi lang Sunday mo puedeng ibigay ang tithes mo and offering evey event
na meron ang church you can give your tithes and offering. Puede ring ideposit sa
account natin. (Please flash the BPI account of the church).

Challenge
- our tendemcy habang tumatagal taong Christian is para tayong magiging relihiyoso.

Umaattend na lang for the sake na masabi lang na nagsisimba. Pero wala nang fire,
wala na ring concern kung luamlago ba tayo as a church.

- Me nadidisciple ba? Me nawiwin ba? Me kailangan ba sa church para lalo pa taupng

lumago.

- This time if you want to go back to the time that you are so on fire, fruitful sa
relationship mo kay Lord, sa ministry mo at sa buhay mo, you want to be productive in
all you do then pray hard, plat your seed! Participate in fulfilling the great
commission and be faithful in your tithes and offering!

- Ministry time: let us pray and cry a loud to God this time until na ang heart natin ay
punuin ulit ni Lord ng living water para pag tinatinman ito mamumunga. (Pray
encourage everyone to pray in the spirit, pray hard to God.)
