CANDIDATURE FORM

1. What do you believe you are best at and what is the


motivation for the post? (max. 500 characters)

I believe that I am best at doing work in a planned and an organized manner. I also do a lot
of post-event analysis which I believe helps me in correcting my past mistakes and
improving on the same. I am a devoted and a sincere person. I also have prior work
experience being the hostel FAM and Dram secretary.
Seeing the hostel lagging in the cult GC after being 2nd the previous year gives me that extra
piece of thrust to put in extra efforts to ensure that the heights achieved the previous year
are not forgotten down the memory lane of this hostel. The success achieved the previous
year should serve as a stepping stone to the cultural future of this hostel and I strongly feel
that next year will be really crucial if inspiration has to be drawn from the previous year.
Being involved for the last one year in the hostel as well as the institute cultural scene and
being enthusiastic about the same, I think that I will be able to work for the betterment of
the hostel and will be able to represent the hostel well at the institute level.

2. Mention at least two innovative steps that you propose


should you be elected for the post?

1. Launching a hostel blog, which will be a medium where hostel inmates will be able to
share their personal experiences.
2. Will use an online task management system so that each and every task is finished on
time and will evaluate council members on the basis of this system. This will ensure a
more structured functioning of the council.

3. What would be your top three priorities should you be


elected for the post?

1. My first priority will be to identify and nurture talent in the upcoming sophomore
batch in order to develop talent for the years to come.
2. Id strive towards increasing the social interaction amongst inmates of the hostel by
organizing various social events across my tenure.
3. Focus on upgrading and maintaining the hostel equipment.

4. How would this post help you achieve your personal goals?

This post will be a great one in terms of learning experience. Leading your own team and on
the other hand also being answerable to a higher authority will be a unique experience.
Through this POR I will develop organizational, communicational and management skills.

Positives:

An alumni newsletter Activities@9 was initiated in his tenure.


Is friendly and gave freedom to his secretaries.
Is a very logical person.

Only 1 ABM was conducted by him in his whole tenure.


The Database taken in orientations was not utilized efficiently.
Design for the T-shirt was initiated very late.
Regular Evaluation of secretaries was not ensured.
