ThecooperationprogrambetweenGWZOLeipzigandtheArchaeologicalInstituteofHASis
supportedbyDFG.Theaimoftheprojectisachievinganinterdisciplinaryresearchonthelateroman
fortificationinKeszthelyFenkpusztalocatedsouthwestofLakeBalaton.
ThefortificationofFenkpusztabelongedtotheterritoryofPannoniaPrima.Sincetheassemblageofthe
sitecoverstheperiodfromtheromanageuptothe9thcentury,itgivestheopportunity interalia to
studytheproblemofromancontinuationintheregion.

Thewellisdatedto455(ageofAvitus)bySgiandupto390by14Cmethod.
Besidethewell,theexaminationdealswithfindsfromthehorreumexcavatedbyL.Barkczi.
