The distinctive new design.
No matter how you look at it, the new Caddy

impresses with sharp, precise and dynamic
lines, and a whole host of distinctive features. In particular its new rear with a spoiler,
as well as the new sportier design at the
front with up to four chrome trim stripes,
have been perfected. Newly designed exterior mirrors, striking headlights and clear
contouring of the tail lights, available with
optional tinting (fig. 01), give the vehicle a
very special touch of class. Nevertheless,
the Caddy remains true to itself: a superbly
versatile and practical vehicle for the
whole family.

new high-quality finish on the cockpit with
the newly designed leather-covered multifunction steering wheel available on request.
From the Trendline equipment line, the de
luxe dash panel is also inlayed with a decorative trim. Of course, there are also several
cup holders and practical storage spaces, for
instance in the doors and the central console. In addition, a spacious roof shelf (fig.
01) is located directly above the driver

In the new Caddy Maxi, you will find the

greatest luxury a vehicle can offer: a great
deal of space. It is 47 cm longer than the
short version. In the 7-seater1) this is especially noticeable in the rear seats and load
compartment. For the passengers, this

two extra wide sliding doors2) (fig. 01), as
well as ample head and leg room. At the
same time, the load compartment offers

The interior with folding, doublefolding and removable seats.
Workdays, Sundays, holidays. Every day is

different. That is why the seats in the second
seating row of the new Caddy can be easily
folded, double-folded or, if necessary,
removed (fig. 01-03). This creates the space
needed for big shopping trips, and transporting small furniture. The low loading sill
height and the even load surface make loading and unloading as easy as possible. For
the first time ever in the interior range, the
front passenger seat comes with a foldable
seat (fig. 04). By folding the backrest down
completely, you can increase the interior load
length to as much as 3.01 m.*

For us, flexible was never flexible enough. That is why the rear seats
in the new Caddy can now be folded, and completely removed
sometimes even independently of each other. The single seats in the
second seating row can even be double-folded if necessary. This

conjures up no matter how wild this may be.

To ensure that every drive ends as stress-free as it begins, the new Caddy is equipped with various
safety systems, which are activated in critical situations as a preventative measure. New to the onboard standard equipment is the Automatic Post-Collision Braking System. Following an accident, the
vehicle begins a phased braking action down to 10 km/h in order to prevent secondary collisions.
Should an impact nonetheless result, for the first time as standard starting from the Trendline
equipment line, head airbags will provide optimal protection to passengers in the outer seats of
the second seating row.

In the new Caddy, you will find a generation of engines that captivate with their
impressively smooth running and fuel savings. Every single engine is supplied with
BlueMotion Technology as standard and is
compliant with the Euro 6 emission
standard. Power transmission to the front
wheels is the task of the smooth-running
5- or 6-speed manual gearboxes. Selected
engines can also be combined with the
dual clutch gearbox DSG.

the intelligent gearshift system the 6-speed
(75kW, 110 kW1)) and 7-speed (92kW)
gearboxes change fluidly to the next preselected gear at the optimum time. This
results in excellent driving comfort without an interruption in power flow. The

a light tap.
The new TDI engines. The fuel-efficient 2.0 l turbo diesel engines with common rail direct

Regenerative braking (recuperation)
(not illustrated). Frictional energy is stored
during braking, and converted into electrical energy by a generator. This is then
available for electricity consumption.

The Environmental Commendation.

Volkswagens Environmental Commendation serves to identify
ecological progress for vehicles and technologies in comparison with

This is based on Life Cycle Assessments in accordance with ISO 14040
and ISO 14044, which are verified by independent experts in the
case of Volkswagen, by the technical inspection authority TV Nord.
The Life Cycle Assessment covers not only the vehicles pure driving
time, but also its entire life cycle from the raw materials extraction

By an average of 4.2 l diesel consumption per 100 km and

The new Caddy TGI

BlueMotion.
Safe on the road with
natural gas (CNG) for the environment.
The new Caddy TGI BlueMotion is perfect for those wishing to make
sustainable savings. It consumes both Compressed Natural Gas
(CNG)1) and petrol extremely efficiently, and starts up in the more
cost-efficient CNG-mode when the tanks are full. When this fuel
is fully consumed, the engine management system automatically
switches to the petrol gauge while driving. With the new Caddy
TGI BlueMotion, you are also making a measurable contribution
to the environment. With an average from 4.1kg CNG up per
100km CNG and CO2 emission from 112g/km, it is by far the best
in its class.2)
TGI engine. The 4 cylinder in-line engine with 1.4 l cylinder

capacity, a 81 kW output and 200 nm of torque is
available for all equipment lines of the new Caddy and
the new Caddy Maxi. Its combined consumption is just
4.1kg/100km CNG.2)
Petrol tank. All TGI models have a 13 l reserve tank.
Low-floor technology. Both the CNG containers, and

the fuel lines are fixed to the underside of the vehicle
floor. This means that no space is lost in the luggage area.

Four steel CNG tanks. The heat-resistant, robust CNG

tanks have valves with triple protection, and are fixed to

Maxi TGI BlueMotion.

01 Reversible mat for luggage compartment. The well-fitting reversible mat for the load space provides the perfect surface for fragile,
dirty or wet goods: on one side there is soft velour, on the other anti-slip plastic studs. An integrated protective cloth for the loading

02 Supporting bars for roof rails. The robust and city-crash-tested supporting bars made
of anodised aluminium profile bars are available for vehicles with a roof rail. Both bars
are capable of carrying a total load of up to 95 kg. They are easy to fit, and provide the
basis for various carrier systems. The bars have a theft-deterrent fastener to guard

Basic carrier (not illustrated). A lockable, city-crash-tested basic carrier made of anodised
aluminium profile bars is available for vehicles without roof rails. It is designed for a load

03 Kajak holder. It is designed for sports paddle boats with a load of up to 25kg, and can

04 Luggage compartment liner. The light, flexible, made to measure liner fits the contours
of the new Caddy and new Caddy Maxi exactly. A raised rim of approx. 5cm around the
edge provides protection from moisture and dirt. The diamond pattern on the liner has a
non-slip effect. When not in use, the liner can be rolled up to save on space.

05 Luggage net. The tear-resistant, elastic net is simply secured to the standard lashing
eyes in the luggage compartment using the integrated hooks. This ensures that small and

06 Travel and comfort system. This consists of a basic module,

which is secured between the headrest braces of the front seats,
and several auxiliary modules: There is a tablet holder for a Samsung
Galaxy, a second to fourth generation iPad, a first generation
iPad Air, or an iPad mini. There is also a folding table with a cupholder, a clothes hanger and a sturdy bag hook. The auxiliary
modules can simply be attached to the basic module, and are easily

07 G0 infant seat plus ISOFIX. This child seat system offers

newborn babies and infants up to 15 months old (or weighing up
to 13 kg) a high level of comfort and optimum protection. The
seats sturdy frame, which is firmly secured to the vehicle using
the ISOFIX mounting points, is a robust base for the portable seat
shell. The individual seat adjustments and the height-adjustable
5-point harness ensure that the infant is safely secured in the seat
shell. This seat system also has a removable sunshade, a carrying
