Winter Weather
Winter weather has certainly kicked in over the past week, with extremely cold temperatures. However, this did not deter many of our students as they participated in
weekend sports such as football, cricket and soccer. It is always nice on a Monday morning to catch up with the kids and hear about how their football team did or
how many goals they scored in soccer. What is even better to see, is kids out playing despite the cold. It seems too often these days kids are shut indoors when it may
be better for them to be out and about. The more activity the better; something we are keen to promote here at Launch. Of course this does not have to mean sports.
Just heading off for a walk, playing in the garden, walking the dog or walking around to see your friends are all good activities and we highly recommend them.

Bus Shopping Tour has been booked for Saturday 5th September. We will visit approx 10 outlets like
clothing, home wares, bags, lollies, its a fun day chatting with friends & grabbing a bargain or 2.
Please complete form already sent home or at office with a deposit by Friday 7th Aug. The more the
merrier (& cheaper the seats)!
Scouts raffle tickets have gone home Wednesday, $2 each with a profit of $1.50 per ticket to School so please support this
fundraiser. ALL sold & unsold tickets must be returned by Friday 14th Aug.
The date, Fri 23rd October is coming around fast. Plenty of activities are under way. We have community
groups, animals, art show, food and more being organised but we always need some more hands to
help. That is why we are putting a call out for any 'Barista' trained parents to volunteer some time on the
day; please let the office or Janine know. Next meeting is Tuesday 11th August at 3.30pm in Prep Room.
Any other suggestions or ideas are welcome. You are very 'Welcome' to join any of our meetings.
