John-Dylan Haynes wurde 1971 in Folkestone, Grobritannien geboren und studierte von 1992 bis 1996
Psychologie und Philosophie an der Universitt Bremen, wo er 2003 am Institut fr Biologie ber die role of
primary visual cortex in visual Awareness promovierte. Seine Forschungsaufenthalte fhrten ihn u.a. von
2001 bis 2003 an das Institute of Neuroscience nach Plymouth und von 2002 bis 2005 als Postdoc an das
Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience und Wellcome Department of Imaging Neuroscience des University
College London.
