Matchups Against the Current And Approaching Meta:

Bujin: Bujins provide a tough matchup, however they are beatable. You must
know how to manage your resources, such as where you use a Chaos Sorcerer

effect to bait out a Bujingi Turtle or Hare before using other monster effects.
Ally of Justice Cycle Reader and D.D. Crow are effective hand traps to use
against Bujins.

Evilswarm: Evilswarm Ophion will always be a difficult task to overcome.

However, the deck has outs to Ophion, with the rank 4s at your arsenal as well
as sided cards like XYZ Encore and Breakthrough Skill, you can strike back.

Artifact: Artifacts will pose a very big challenge to the deck, since they can
Special Summon themselves on your turn and destroy your monsters. Pleiades is
a nuisance that can slow you down a bit, so I advise wasting Pleiade's effect on
monsters that you can easily summon again, i.e. Chaos monsters, before
attempting a Synchro or XYZ play. With this, I advise just poking and baiting
them with smaller monsters that they would deem a nuisance before summoning
your bigger ones. Maxx "C" and Cycle Reader are solid side deck choices.

Harpie: Since Harpies mainly focus on destroying backrow, the deck is not
affected by them as much. However, they have access to very good rank 4
monsters like Chidori, Phantasmal Dragon, and rank 7s like Dracossack, so be
prepared for them. In addition, they plus easily off Hysteric Sign.

Madolche: Madolche can recycle themselves through destruction, so it's best to

swarm the field against them and banish any crucial monsters they need for the
Hootcake plays. Hand traps like Maxx "C" and D.D. Crow are effective against
them.

Fire Fist: Chaos Dragons do not have a tough matchup against Fire Fist, but
more of their backrow. The deck has enough ways to remove cards and even
banish them (Michael, BLS, Chaos Sorcerer, etc.) that attacking into a Lance or
Tensen/Tenken won't be an issue.

Mermail: Mermails can pose a threat since they have access to big beaters as
well, especially Dracossack and Big Eye. Watch out for Abyssphere and
Abysslinde, and banish Abysslinde with Michael or similar cards to prevent
them from their main plays.

Geargia: Banishing a set Geargiarmor is crucial, but the deck also poses a lot of
other rank 4 toolbox plays, so be prepared to swarm the field and finish them off
as soon as possible, because if you face the Karakuri variant, they will try for the
OTK.

Sylvan: Cards like Beelze, Crimson Blader, and Stardust Spark Dragon are your
best friends, and Beelze and Spark avoid destruction from Marshalleaf and
similar cards. Watch out for Felgrand and bait it with preliminary effects. I'd
advise using your hand traps to banish any cards that set up hazards, for example
Lonefire Blossom and Spore.

Mythic Dragon: Mythic Dragons have just as much explosive power as this deck
does, and will go for very aggressive plays. The best way to approach this is to
side in many of the hand traps, whether it be Maxx "C", Cycle Reader, or D.D.

Crow, to banish their Dragon Rulers and plus off their special summons. Bait out
Felgrand with mediocre effects before going for big plays, and summon Crimson
Blader during any opportunity you have. They also like siding in Skill Drain, so
be prepared to side in MSTs and Royal Decrees.
