Comparing the views of Obama and RNC, we find that there are some similar
as well as contrasting views on telecommunication policies. Firstly, RNC have the
opinion that the FCC and telecommunication Act of 1996 are outdated even
though there was a rapid change in the telecommunication system. They felt
that new policies and laws are required to form the news systems or to govern
the current system. Whereas Obama was satisfied with current act and wants to
improve the connectivity and speed. Secondly, RNC was more keen on bring
broadband to rural community specifically. Whereas Obama wasnt only specific

about rural he wanted internet in each and every houses, hospitals, schools and
libraries, He wanted a uniform development. On the top that both Obama and
RNC had similar views on spectrum and public private partnership. They both
want to review the spectrum usage and wanted to allocate unused or wanted to

Yes, I agree with the author that rural broadband is an important goal .With
the introduction of rural broadband the framers can access the data and also
improve the operation of various devices and machineries. As stated by the
author the electricity brought huge revolution in the farming, the rural
broadband will increase the output or efficiency. This increase in output will
help to improve the economy .Thus in turn will improve the civilization. The
government might not get the immediate returns on the huge investment but
this will help to improve the rural community. Therefore rural broadband will
be a boon and this will bring lots of awareness to the farmers about the
external world and new products in market for the farming etc. This will help
the community to grow, develop and evolve.
